The Manchester United Thread

I don't see Barca wanting to sell him. They bought him when they were already stacked in midfield, and now they've lot Thiago, Xavi/Iniesta are a few year older etc. Don't think Fabregas nor Barca wanting it to happen. Hope it doesn't too, he'd be great there.

Why would Barcelona sell Fabregas when they have already lost Thiago? Makes absolutely no sense to me and I don't think there is any chance that Fabregas will be leaving Barcelona. I would understand it if we made a cheeky bid for Schweinsteiger, but Fabregas?

Maybe are thinking about it coz they need to raise funds for Thiago Silva/ David Luiz plus they are beeing heavily linked with Valbeuna from some french team Lyon or Marsille i think.

Why don't we go for a more realistic target like Gundogan if we have the buck to spend.

I honestly think there must be more to this to make United think they actually have some kind of hope signing Fabregas. However if we are paying big buck for a CM which seems to be the case I don't see why not just try and get Marchisio or even Vidal.

Because Juve wouldn't let either of them go for anything other than insane money, and both of them are happy there anyway.

I'll blame you if we don't sign Fabregas now. You have me hope.

Good, hope you don't get him. :D

Was just an opening bid. you wont get gundogan for 25m either.

Hmm... not sure about that, you know.

And how much do you think then for gundogan

At the same token what makes United think any differently to Fabregas?

Must of got a wiff from somewhere he maybe unsettled, not like he has been one of there star players. Plus if you go on alot of Barca site the fans dont actually rate him that highly, or maybe his good friend RVP has been on the phone.

Impossible to say, and even harder if you don't consider outside factors. 20 mil should tempt them, 25 mil they'd probably take. Dortmund have young replacements for him - Leitner, Bittencourt etc - and he's not indispensable.

Again, not sure. Could just be a tester. But the crux of the matter is Fabregas isn't getting regular game time and nor is anywhere near top form. United could be a solution to both of those troubles.

I think its to early for them even tho they are extremely tallented, i think your looking at gotze money he was only that cheap coz he had release clause would have gone for much more if not.

Leitner's out on loan till 2015 (Stuttgart) and Bittencourt plays further up the pitch. They only have Sahin there and, to make matters worse, his loan deal ends this season. Even if they get Sahin permanently, I don't think they'll be letting Gundogan go, not unless they sign a replacement. It's not like they have someone like Rossell as president...

Dortmund have a history of selling players if the price is right. Gundogan is no exception.

Bittencourt's a versatile player, though apparently he's signed for Hanover and I didn't even notice.

Exactly, I didn't say they wouldn't sign a replacement. Dortmund have a history of selling and replacing with someone about as good for a much smaller price: Barrios > Lewandowski, Gotze > Mkhitaryan, now Lewandowski > Aubameyang probably. Dortmund selling off Gundogan and replacing him with someone they find from abroad seems pretty plausible to me.

This guys tweets....... apparently Chelsea offered either David Luiz or Juan Mata + £10m for Rooney.

If it was Juan Mata...... why didn't we ****** run and take it. But obviously if it was Luiz I would say reject.
