I don't think he fits in with the players we now have around him. I also think that Januzaj/Nani are both better wingers than Rooney.
Fellaini isn't up to speed. That's the issue.

First off all, I wasn't making any excuses. But that is the fact. A lot of clubs got stronger, while we have pretty much the same squad, squad that won EPL last season indeed.I'm just going
to make it clear, before I say what I'm going
to say, that I'm completely impartial to all of
this and have no preference of either Fergie
or Moyes. I also disagree with people who
believe United are in a genuine crisis,
because it isn't as bad as a lot of people
think. They're 8th, which isn't too far away
from 4th - I still personally believe they will
finish 2nd/3rd.
I have to disagree with you with using "we
have to play against stronger teams" as an
excuse. Yes, the start of this season seems
very open and with a lot of teams improving,
the competition is getting stronger. However,
I wouldn't say that's a valid excuse for
justifying why United are where they are -
the improvement of other teams does not
warrant a 7-places-drop!
I've always rated Chicharito, and I thought he
should've been played more in previous
seasons as well as during this season - but I
agree, people can't use it as a reason to
criticise Moyes when they didn't use it
against Fergie.
like i said get a gripYeah rite, cos really we ve been playing with real passion and fire, imagination and an obvious tactical plan (supported by helpful/obvious substitutions) and the only reason we cant win even against patently worse squads/teams is that we are unlucky!
I actually happen to think that these "get a grip" type of calls are what will harm us most ultimately. Cos in the current climate where a lot of teams around us are improving/showing real guts it wont take long to become Liverpool!! (and yes I know where they currently are in the standings!).
Our squad does need improving but we ARE much better than what we ve been showing since MOYES came so it has to be him and his conservativism/fear of any risk taking.

As it is right now, personally think our best XI has Rooney in midfield - though that won't happen.
I never thought Fellaini was what was needed for Utd personally.
I thought this at the start of the season mate, if Utd signed Ozil and played him in behind RVP with Rooney sitting along side Carrick then it could work. But as you state Rooney's problem with Utd was that he didn't want to play in midfield.

So, Evra's leaving at the end of contract. He says its personal. Well done Moyes, ******* Baines and overrated English players.
No, I refuse your common sense and I'll even blame Moyes for Ronaldo signing new contract with RM.
Evra, much as I love him for his commitment and what he has given us over the years is on the wane (due to age) so him going is not such a bad thing as long as we get a good replacement (or even seriously try FABIO who I actually think that techincally is a more balanced player than his brother).
On Evra's commitment here's an anecdote (told by him): When he first arrived in Manchester and was looking for a house he specified with the estate agents that he wanted one near a church cos he wanted to visit it every day and thank god for playing for UTD. This is what *I* would have done also if I played for us and even if he was exaggerating it still made me love him that little bit more!
It's not just about on the pitch though, his manner off the pitch is so important. Natural leader. We will miss that more.
There's fewer and fewer left in your team now from the Ferguson glory years. Ferdinand, sure, Vidic, yes. Rooney? Eh, maybe. Giggs, sorta, just by being the legend he is. Past those four (three of whom are on the wrong side of 30)? It's rather debateable. Fletcher, but he's out indefinitely.
Evra's been brilliant for us, will miss him a lot. But Fabio is miles behind Rafael now, and as Mike said pretty the club knew about it already, Fabio probably did as well and he still requested to leave so I imagine we have someone lined up already. I'd love to see us go in for Alex Sandro of Porto. Baines would be a great short term solution, but we don't have anyone coming through at LB that could be a first team player in the future and we would almost certainly be paying more than he is worth.
