Eh I think people are bugging Chelsea up a tad too much. Yes they started the best out of all the big teams but Chelsea still have some significant defensive fraternities imo. It could really come down to which attack performs better in a Chelsea-United game as both defenses have yet to impress this season

We have signed 6 players and all of them are needed, maybe except Falcao. Almost all players were of higher priority than CB. And also it's just 1 window. We will strengthen further again in the coming windows. I hope you didnt expect a new team in just 1 window.
Because smalling, jones or evans will all be injured again at some point and having 2 come in instead of relying on midfielders or u21 players would settle it down, we don't even have one to come in now and settle it down adding experience and leadership to a fragile back 4.
A cb was needed most after a cm, we lost rio and vidic.
Baffling that people think the solution for all the problems is just sign sign.. Yes we need to offload injury prone players but logic really goes out of window when we lose. It's a new team with defenders really struggling to stay fit. Like Van Gaal said we should judge them after 1 year not 1 week.
Some of the articles in Guardian and Telegraph are just pathetic.

Was not all defence, it was team as a whole. We can work on this in training.
Nobody is making judgement on lvg for **** sake. It's the ******* average and injury defenders i have a problem with and the club. I could say the same thing under fergie when we went through similar injury crisis with the same fecking players.
We can't rely on them.
We had 0 LBs but we had 3 CBs in Smalling, Jones and Evans.
We badly needed a CM, DM and a creative player and we addressed all the issues. CB was way down the priority when the summer started.

Agree mate. And tbh Blackett has been our 2nd best CB this season and Keane was good on tour making that 5.
Well done you've named our 3 cb's all of who are injury prone which is exactly the point of this debate, yet you lot on here seem to think it's all fine to rely on three cb's who are either not good enough or made of glass.
Keane was loaned out because he isn't good enough, even ask dyche stop hyping the u21's.
Will definitely take time. So many new faces. New manager. New tactics and completely different style of play. Some of the results have been shambolic admittedly and could have been better but I really would wait till the end of November at least for concrete improvement

You really don't understand do you? We had 0 LBs, so how is CB more priority than LB when we had none. At least we had CBs injury prone or not. Similarly our CMs were shocking and we needed pace in the attack. And we signed a CB in case you missed it. Rojo.
