Too much knee-jerk reactions about strikers IMO. In the summer it seemed like United will be rock solid in striker position for several years. Fast forward few months, suddenly you need to offload everybody and blow out 50m+ for a top class talent? Lets not exaggerate. RVP seems done for, but I feel jury's still out for Falcao. He's not playing bad - looks lively, gets into positions, makes the runs, I wouldn't say its the case of him not fitting in the Prem. Just needs to start pulling the trigger.

If falcao could get his legs and feet under control he might come good.

Next season get rooney out of midfield and just buy depay and use the wings.

I'm all for getting in Cavani - WC, and is able to do everything RvP was able to when he first came on here. If we're offloading RvP, then that can help contribute to Cavani's fee. As for Depay, his decision making is still suspect, but he has the pace to make an impact in the league. Should be a good option.

Also, for that Rooney stat for not having a shot at goal in 2015, hasn't he been playing in the midfield for the whole of 2015? So why the **** is that stat surprising? Rooney is not used as an energetic B2B midfielder, he's being utilised as a DLP, and still relatively new at it. Just shift him upfront please, LvG. Rooney was so dangerous back when he was playing as a STR or behind them.

Playing Rooney as CM is like Pep deciding to take the world's best RB, and convert him to DM, just to prove that he's oh so great.
I think Rooney will always be a striker in everyone's eyes. Well, almost everyone.

EDIT: Saw your schedule for the remaining season. I expect to see you guys on TV every week till it's over :D

RVP looks done, Falcao is simply unfit. Either way, we struggle trying to field these players because of numbers. We need one striker less really anyway.

LVG's stubbornness is what may cost us top 4, not identifying the problems and sticking with them..... RVP perfect example, Rooney in CM, not playing Herrera etc etc.

Not good enough.

Oh and Falcao is no where near the same player, unfit or whatever the excuse, doubt he'll ever be close and for the price we were quoted originally is definitely not worth it. Wilson deserves more starts over RVP for definite and Falcao apart from his work rate has been poor.

Playing Falcao in a team without wingers boggles me, as well as all the other rooney, diamond stuff. Pay all the cash to bring him in, fit or not and then stick him and RVP in a formation that plays to their weakness's.

Wanna be solid go 4411 when defending slots to a 4231 when attacking. stick rooney in the #10, mata and maria out side but thats just me. LVG is legendary levels of stubborn, cant see it changing till summer at least, if then.

A little Falcao. he is still recovering, much like Strootman was, who has now been ruled out. No one knows if he is the same player yet. Ditto Strootman.

Doctors and falcao himself probably know, he's older and doesn't seem to have fully got over the injury for whatever reason. Also has went from a world class 9 to a Hernandez like footballer without the goals.

Either it's these poor performances or a spanking at anfield that will change LVG or the team a little, LVG seems to think he's far too intelligent or his own good in this league or the players are just gutless, afraid to take risks and revert to the crab football at any given moment.

It takes upto a year to fully recover from an ACL. By recover I mean back to playing ability, not just fitness. Whether it's here or elsewhere, you wont see the best of Falcao till next season. Only reason he is at the club is to monitor and control his recovery ahead of any potential purchase. Club will know exactly what his medical state will be like, as opposed to him being at Monaco this season
