The Manchester United Thread

Sorry I don't agree Rooney can be a good player in CM and lots of bright people in football think the same.

I know i'm not bright but unless he's with two quality midfielders like a pogba and gundogan i just don't rate him. I'm not a massive fan of his anyway so any opinion i have of him is slightly bias.

Lol was nothing to do with you being bright. Just plenty players/managers think he can be good in that role.

Tell you one thing that ****** me off about todays game was the booing of Fellaini coming off and Evans in the 1st half. Absolutely embarrassing by some of our fans! We are not City!

Right or wrong, people are sick of hoofball and ordinary players. And we did have a quality footballer like mata sitting on the bench. I can understand their anger towards us atm, i do it on here but i wouldn't boo tbh.

What hoofball and what ordinary players? We are quick to laugh at other clubs fans, its shocking to be booing our players!

Evans for one is very ordinary and well valencia. We do enjoy the odd long ball to plan b fellaini, but's all philosophy.

Just playing devils advocate, don't like the booing but i can understand people's frustrations especially after last season and then the silly ammounts spent and the drab drab football they watch.

Yeah will give ya Evans and Valencia :) Yeah I don't mind plan B if plan A aint working. Sunderland came for draw today was going to be hard and show patients. Bring on the Toon:)

Well our plan A is slow, patient, dull possesion football so the plan fellaini is welcome sometimes.

Yeah can see why people get frustrated. I hate it! People say they pay money and can do as they want after doing so. I just think its negative on the player and ****** other fans off in the ground. Football has been drab no denying that :( But its all about top 4 and results/consolidation this season. Problem with all the money we spent was most of them players were injured the 1st half of the season, and new players don't always settle but I think most of ours have tbh maybe bar Di Maria.

Once our defence is fixed I think that's when we will see LVG total football. Doing that is key this Summer! I know we need other positions but Defence is key imo.

Don't think it's really that, we just don't play good football regardless if we had hummels and godin at the back the tempo far to slow at times and not enough movement off the ball which isn't the defences fault. But i understand what you're saying in that LVG doesn't trust our defence enough to take the shackles off.

Wes Brown still has it i see, flattened falcao like falcao had the strength of a school girl.

Yes mate that's what I meant :) seen and spoke to loads of fans today who think that's the problem.

We could obviously play like we did in early 2012 season and open games right up but we'd concede shitloads, the games would be like 4-2, 2-2, 4-1, 3-3 etc etc.

Must beat newcastle because after that it's cup, spurs and liverpool in which we'll get a max 3 points imo so a city win tomorrow over liverpool would be okay.

Just reading a good article on LVG and the club execs/owners. Seems talk has started on maybe an extension to LVGs current contract and he wants this to be his last job and feels energized by the challenge of managing Utd. Also says that a meeting between the Glazers took place after the 3-1 Burnley win and they excepted it would be a season of consolidation and rebuilding and that it may take a 2nd year for LVG to complete his work on the squad, and they say they are very happy with LVGs plans for the club and not just for the 1st team. Also spoke to Woodie about summer transfers and Strootman,De Bruyne,Hummels and Gundogan were the main targets amongst a few other younger targets. Also in this 4 hour meeting between Woodie and the Glazers and LVG Scouting,Youth Scouting, Training at all levels, Future summer tours, Transfer strategy were also talked about and were talking as far forward as where they want the club to be by 2020.
