The Manchester United Thread

Holy ******* ****, last 20 minutes have been absolutely awful. They can't even cross the ball into the box within 10 meters of Fellaini.

Thats the most depressing thing about today. That and the lack of game changing options on the bench. Hopefully LVG will finally realise we need cb/winger and cf plus goalie if ddg leaves.

Plus i worry about rooney. He s been like this for months now.

imagine having Lacazette here... pacy, tricky striker who has great ball control, whos fairly strong and decent in the air. And he has great movement. Get.one.striker.to.challenge.*******.Wayne.Rooney!

He's going nowhere, but he's ace.

Yeah, he is having great season scoring as many goals as Rooney in the league.

Spent around a 250m in two seasons and still needing about 3-4 players especially if dave goes.

4 games 3 goals, not a fan of this so called philosophy. We are slow and very boring to watch. Lvg will probably say this was our best game as he normally talks out of his ***. To win we need to keep a clean sheet as we are not going to out score the opposition. We look like a team in a mess. 1st choice keeper want to leave. Cm playing cb and a striker who is wildly over payed and couldn't control a sack of spuds

Wasn't a CB we needed today, still need someone like Gotze, definitely have to replace Hernandez

Why the **** would you even sign Romero when he's that bad, I mean come off it... Lindegaard is even better. He was ****** shocked to be here and now I can see why.

We look like a a freaking bull dog with no teeth whenever we play a reasonably well equipped tactical unit. I mean come on, we are Manchester United and we rely on long balls over the top to a big ****** and hope we get a lucky knock down or header? What are we? Stoke?

P.S. Romero looked like a fish out of water flopping around like he did on both those goals. People only thought he was doing a good job because we were completely untested until today. Absolutely disappointing performance. I wouldn't consider this a melt down either seeing as we have played the same boring way this season (apart from 2nd leg at Brugge).

We need an attacking Plan B when we need it that actually works, IE, not lumping balls to Fellaini (no matter how much a like him). Sign a ****** striker!!

It's telling that the best team in the league by far at the moment is the one who is actually able to really create width. Seems like lots of the other big teams have forgotten how necessary it is to be able to stretch play.

Yep, and great vertical movement.

Not a disaster of result by any means, despite the furious meltdowns, but extremely frustrating because of an error strewn 10 minutes,

While I agree goals are the most important thing for a striker, there's lot more to it. His movement and ability to bring others into play allowed Fekir to score few goals. And we have similar player to Fekir who's willing to run behind the line to get into scoring position. Too bad our striker doesn't know what to do with the ball in his feet.

whatever he brought to Lyon side, he won't be able to bring it to ManUtd side. Problem is not with the players, it's with the manager and his slow possession game.

Last season I wasn't sure lvg was the right man for the job but fair play we crept into 4th which was the minimum expected of him. I was so hopeful that after a full season and a full pre season that lvg would get United playing attacking, gutsy football but even after 4 games it is so easy to see that we slipping backwards. Plan a is all pass pass pass........pass, if that doesn't work than its lump it to fellani. Giggs must be boiling inside watching this from the bench as this is not the United way. The glazers are not patient as has been shown from their nfl team. Also our net spend this summer must be very low, have the glazers decided that now we are in champions league then it's job done? We are lucky to be 5th in the league and have 7 points.

So, striker who scored in 2 games from last 14 he played is not a problem? Problem is with Van Gaal as well, but he's adopting, trying stuff and we can see progress from last 2 seasons.
