The Manchester United Thread

Sir Bobby Charlton, someone who I have the utmost respect for and who's always been very dignified and respectful when talking about Liverpool; will be pretty darn upset if the Glaziers go down the Mourinho route that's for sure.

The amount of twitter traffic and blogs being written that Mourinho is going to be appointed is insane they are writing as if it is a stone cold Rafa fact. Also apologies for my English its only my first language ;)

Would be hillarious if we went for Pellegrini

You could do worse tbf. If they keep the defence drills and ball control from LVG's reign and filter in Pelle's attacking game.. Least you'll get the attacking stuff you're after.. :)

All the Mourinho rumours are media fabrications feeding off internet cirlcejerk reactions. It makes zero sense to spend 250m building squad around posession football, then bring in manager who will not play that way. Especially mid season where he'll be forced to use what's available.

Let's say Mourinho comes. What is he going to do that will make you play better? Park the bus and hit people on the counter with Rooney and Mata, people who couldn't outrun a toddler?

I don't see it happening unless Van Gaal has lost the backroom completely.

At Chelsea, you also have guys like Oscar and Costa who aren't exactly pace monsters.

Anyways Sunil, whatever said and done, if you still want Jose even though you know Pep is returning and you know the huge acrimony that exists between them ... Well you made your own bed. I really doubt it will work out well for United eventually and I think you know that too

If you remember well, I always used to argue that Pep is the best manager in the world. I want Pep as manager more than anyone but is he available? I don't think so. Looks like City have laid the ground work and he is theirs.

I'm sure if ManUtd make Jose move it's after contacting Pep. I believe Jose is the only big manager who is available at the moment. Klopp would have been ideal but well..

Looks like Klopp will regret his decision big time. He would have been favorite for Chelsea and United job now he is ended up in a club where he won't win much and needs a re building big time.

Like I said, I was against Jose as much as anyone when Fergie retired but all these posts about class and everything make me cringe.

Where was the class when
- Liverpool were cheering for the player who was found guilty of racial abuse
- Liverpool loved the manager who donned cringeworthy T shirts in support of Suarez
- ManUtd fans cheered for Giggs who did something that was horrible thing to do
- Chelsea fans cheered Terry when everyone knew he ****** his teammated GF
- Chelsea fans cheering Terry after he was charge for Anton Ferdinand case
- Liverpool fans cheering Rafa who was just a paranoid *******
- Chelsea fans for cheering Lampard and Terry after their comments on USA
- ManUtd fans cheering for Rooney who cheated on his wife twice
- Arsenal fans cheering for Pizza chucking *******
- Madrid fans cheering Ramos and Pepe
- All the English football fans who chanted "she sad NO" to Van Persie when he was found not guilty of rape or the chants about "Adebayor father washing elephants" by Spurs fans?

Jose had his moments and he is classless *****. I hated him after his Inter spell, he was a monster since his Madrid job but all this talk about class is just empty talk. We are in an era where clubs strike deals with countries like Qatar and I'm not even talking about smaller clubs and will cheer for players as long as it benefits the club.

With Pep coming back, I just don't see this ending well no matter what. And it will be harder for Mourinho to win with another world class manager in town. All the best and it should be exciting at the very least

Hope we destroy you so that you fire LVG and leave the way clear for El Cholo

Its obvious what's happened isn't it? Woodward has lost the fight for Guardiola. Now he is shaking hands with the Jose to save face. Get prepared for some spectacular fireworks with Pep and Jose in opposing dug-outs at fierce rivals

Face saving? You have very different idea about football. This is football world where there are limited world class managers and players. There is nothing wrong in trying to sign them and when failed go for back ups. There is no face saving in that. It's only logical. Try for the best and then go for the next best available.

Your comments about Jose are just hilarious considering how mad (in a happy way) you were about having him as manager.

Sighs and as I already told you, opinions change when a manager is leading the champions to relegation plus all the other stuff he has pulled this year. And the fact is, you know 90% of what I am saying will happen with Pep returning is correct which is why your only line of attack seems to be 'oh look at you hating Mourinho' ... It really isn't the case. I am very fond of him still. But this won't end well and you know that as well

And I could flip it back on loads of United fans who used to call him classless but now are falling over themselves to hire him. I suppose values and traditions fly out of the window when results go awry but what the ****, we all know that and it's just stupid to make this petty accusations

You can have the Special One and in return you'll give us back the Special Juan? Pretty please?

Sure hope that's the first order of business. We sold Mata to them without asking for anything in return. Let's hope they return the favour. Juan come home :)

Although I reckon if Jose comes, you lot are favourites for the title this season just by how everyone else is doing. Next season should be a spectacle once Pep arrives
