What do you mean depending on your view? We don't even get a ****** view on Jones because he is constantly injured. Dude how is it even a debate that we might need a CB? It's not a maybe, it has been a definite area we have needed to address season upon season. Blind is a great utility player but I bet he would offer more in midfield than what we currently have anyway.

Blind's actually been excellent this season.

Do you actually watch the players you get angry about? Blind is less expansive than Carrick, though certainly fitter and is almost certainly his successor, less dynamic than BS, and isnt a destroyer.

Problem has been the same as all season, how the players are utilised.

I didn't say Blind hasn't been good there but I'd still like to see him in midfield, with his distribution we might actually end up going forward more times than backwards, although I wouldn't bank on it.

Then play Herrera, oh wait we don't because LVG is a *********.

United need some more depth and a bit more top quality but the core of the side is being horribly underutilised. And no amount of money or signings will change that. You cannot go forwards till you change that.

He gets benched every time he takes risks thats why. He wants him to be a controller, hes a player takes risk with the ball to split sides.
 
when the side was put out, most people had no complaints. But how they are instructed is what's killing us, that and the fact LVG is a dead man walking

As LVG has admitted, he prefers smaller tight-knit squads because he finds it hard to motivate a bigger squad of players, understandable I suppose but in the modern game it just won't work.

He will survive... because our board only cares about money and quite frankly there is nothing that will be achieved by sacking him now. It will only expose the reason why they delayed it so long if they sacked him now, of course they won't, it should of been done after the Norwich game when the season was still salvageable.

Like I've said, blaming him for not having more depth in full back position is moronic. He had 3 players in the first squad for each side. Darmian, Valencia, Jones on the right, and Shaw, Young, Rojo on the left. That's bigger depth than most teams can even hope for. And these are all quality players, too. They're not Carvajals, but they capable enough to be United backups.

And yet with this much depth you're left playing u21 bench warmers, and with fixture congestion and possible bookings you might soon have to play people from U18.

In all my years watching football I honestly can't remember seeing that much of an injury crisis on one position, ever. Unless Mourinho knows some special massages that can turn people healthy and fit to play overnight, he wouldn't be able to do **** all about this situation. These aren't even training injuries from too much workload or whatever. It's mostly contact injuries on the pitch. Awful bad luck.

Ive been reading and liking/agreeing with your today's posts but this one really takes the biscuit. I actually think that Blind is not bad but you do realise that he's not a cb (or built like one) and would be better suited elsewhere on the pitch?!! We do need a proper cb and this is NOT a new thing as we needed same last summer (I actually think we should buy two cos of the Jones situation...).
 
Blind plays with a **** of a lot of intelligence and that makes him suitable for a lot of positions, including DC, even if he's not really built for it.

He's not super physical, and we don't need him to be, he starts our attacks, has excellent positioning and reading, very good against intelligent forwards. Unless you're going to replace him with a ball playing centre back, it's not an upgrade. City have this exact issue with Mangala and Otamendi, they don't compliment each other. Smalling and Blind do. Only way we currently do better is a fully fit Rojo.

Blind is not a problem. He might not have worked in a different lineup, but he compliments Smalling very well. Sort of like Rio and Vidic covered for each other's weaknesses.

If LVG was going to be sacked mid season, the board would've done it last december.

Looks like we're sticking with him till the end of the season which i agree with.

I, for one, have never been a fan of the turnover of coaches mid season.
 
I've been impressed with blind at cb considering he isn't a natural defender himself. His intelligence in that role is superb. Only flaws are his physical attributes and that propensity to get sucked into the midfield battle ala diego costa's goal last week.
