The Manchester United Thread

We'd be so much better with Young or Rooney though... >.>

I'm guessing you're being sarcastic because of my comments?

Young was looking pretty ******* good before he got injured. He was our main attacking thread down the right putting in good crosses.

And Rooney is in form.

Also with Rooney in the team, Martial would be on the left doing Martial things. Not up front having less time on the ball.

You would have, since it's evident after this game that Rooney's presence as a captain was the only thing holding this bunch together and preventing it from collapsing mentally. None of them came to fight, they came expecting an easy ride. You could almost see nervousness mounting up as Midtjylland kept refusing to bend over.

We wouldn't of beaten them if we had Rooney in the side, we were lucky it was only 2-1. Romero made 3 world class saves.

Rooney has had 1 good month out of 6, yet we try to convince ourselves that with him in the side this 1 game would of been better?

I'm not being sarcastic cos of anyone, just beyond ****** with the state of this club now. How it has even allowed to get to this is beyond a joke and we are a laughing stock.

Say what you like about Madrid sacking managers left, right and centre but at least it prevents dire situations like this.

Onuachu was super impressive tbh. He is 2,01 meter tall, strong as ****, but surprisingly quick feet for such a big guy. And hard working. Might be worth following, he's only 21.

Yes because generally when you have a player playing well for the past month and a half, or in form as I said, the team generally has a better chance of winning.

Why is this such a complicated idea to you?

Because your idea of playing well isn't mine, he has been back to his drab old ways for last few weeks. Against Sunderland it was like playing with no striker because he was using his special trait of constantly dropping deep leaving the defenders with no one to mark or not worry about runs off their shoulder.

WTF even APOEL (Cyprus Champions) easily beat Midtjylland in the 3rd round of CL qualification.

14 injuries or not this is, erm, ******* ****!

Obviously they were shaken by losing Rooney and De Gea in a span of few days. This team is just weak mentally. I've already said after Moyes got the boot, that losing Evra, Rio, Vidic and Giggs all in one window is going to backfire. There's nobody left there who can bring the hammer down. They tried to fix the issue by bringing Bastian, but he got injured - while fighting for a 50-50 ball in a meaningless game. Take notes Mata.

Were you reading LVG's mind or was he reading yours?

'It is the law of Murphy. When you start the game and your goalkeeper is [injury] number 14, you're not starting like usual,'

'A lot of things are happening in the heads of the players. The first 10 or 15 minutes were not so good but after that we came into the match, scored and could have scored more.'

'I think that, in certain phases, we were not organised. But that happens when you play with another team every week.'

We play the same drab snooze-fest way no matter who plays, so why are the injuries even that important? It's a small picture inside a larger one.

The lack of leadership we've known about for ages now, literally multiple seasons, so we bring in one guy and expect it all to change? Schweinsteiger that is.

Lets wait another 5 months to get all these players back and have another 1 year of longevity under LVG just to realise that all these players were bang average or poor in this system anyway. It will make no difference whatsoever.

Of course injuries are massively important.

What? Injuries on the scale of what Utd have right now can utterly destroy everything. As a lifelong Everton I know exactly how injuries can disrupt everything-we lost Arteta in his prime and we suffered. And that was with 1 player. We lost a few we were stuffed.

If you lose a key player your playing efficiency can plummet. Lose half your squad your in the brown stuff without a paddle and depending on how long they're out for, that's the season potentially wrecked. 13 players out this point of the season? Even I have sympathy for LVG because that's just a sickening list

You think we'd be any better under this clown with these injured players who we've already seen in this system and have mostly been bang average or invisible just like the ones out there yesterday?

I don't really have any sympathy because I know we'd play the same way no matter who is in the team, the only advantage is with youngsters they show more eagerness due to wanting to impress. Everyone else is utterly invisible or has been poor under this system.

If we actually had a manager who was getting the most out of these players and playing the type of football that would do that then obviously it's a different story.

But right now, the injuries is just a side problem to the main one which is getting rid of LVG, he should of been out of a job long time before now.
