Senior players are coming back which means usual boring games with rarely shot on target.

If we play kids we have a chance to win this tie. Shame fosu Mensah is not registered.

Also Livepool have advantage with the schedule. They have good rest before the games.

Hopefully Van Gaal extends his run vs Liverpool.
 
Spurs are one of the toughest teams to play in PL but Dortmund have so much space and time on the ball. Shame Spurs have rested few players but look like PL teams are bit behind good European teams nevermind the top teams.

Hopefully Kane will comeon in the second half
 
Fellaini starts but Herrera is on the bench. Looks like few dont need match rythm to be back in the 11. Van Gaal is full of **** when it comes to excuses.

Only reason i could think of is last time he treated 4 liverpool players like kida and won the header. Hopefully LVG goes full moyes mode and sends endless crosses, atleast that wy he will be useful.

Seriously though looks like tactic to counter the pressing

Fellaini allows us to beat the press and also Liverpool are the worst side in the league at set pieces. It actually makes a lot of sense.
 
Idk what games you guys have been watching, but Herrera hasn't really done anything to warrant a place this season.

Game going as expected. Sooner the season is over better it is.

Also our attacking game is so poor its unreal considering how good Van Gaal's team used to be at attacking.

He been decent IMO, after he had a few games in a row he was starting to show us what he capable of. Now Van Gaal benches him, no surprise, players can't build on form when constantly chips them in and out.

Plus him and Schneiderlin have been our midfield pairing on our two best performances of the season (Midgetland at home and Arsenal at home).
 
Pull Rashford, Bring on Herrera, go 4-3-3. If we cant force set pieces I'd bring on Bastian.

Hard to attack when you don't have the ball, our setup is totally wrong and just handing the game to Liverpool. Our possession has been non-existent and not even getting out of our own half.

Why do we have to rely on set pieces to beat Liverpool? This is what we have become I guess.

Getting a hold of the ball a bit would be a start, dominated by a midfield consisting of Henderson and Can, how far we've fallen under LVG.

It's not about relying on them, it's because they are utterly ***** at them.

You think teams don't think about set pieces against Liverpool?
