Valdes was/ is a good, competent 'keeper. (If dodgy as all heck in the air. Not good for a 'keeper in England.). Rather silly to say he was 'awful' man. But he certainly wasn't on the standard Reina was for a good few years period.

Also this nonsense about Valdes is madness, bit suspect in the air but most keepers these days are lets face it. Good shot stopper but the most important thing for Barcelona is that how good he was on thw ball and what he added to the high line they played at the time. Not any keeper could do what he can do and there is probably only a few who could play that role as well/better than him.
 
Laporte has broken his leg and dislocated his ankle. Doesn't look like he'll be going anywhere any time soon

Yeah. It was the time when we had VDS and Chelsea had Cech.

But then we are talking about person who thought Coutinho was the best #10 in the league prior to this season.

Lukaku Sr said Lukaku should join either Bayern or ManUtd. Bayern if Lewandowski leaves.

Would be excellent signing if we can pull it off. Everton paid 28 Million so after the season he had and considering he is home grown player we will be looking around 60 Million if have to sign him.

Not sure Bayern would pay that much. We should do everything we can to sign him. Sort of striker we need to score goals and create his chances with excellent movement.

Lukaku, Martial, Memphis (when he finally finds form) would be deadly backed by Mata, Rashford and few others.

I think Mata will be out if Jose signs and there isn't any friction between Lukaku and Jose. So that shouldn't be a problem. Lukaku said many times about this and he even said Jose was the first to congratulate him after the move. IIRC it was Lukaku who wanted to leave rather than Chelsea wanting to sell.

There is some friction but not much. Yes Lukaku wanted to leave because Jose was not prepared to guarentee him minutes which was fair at the time. Obviously seeing how he has developed, things should change now

Yeah, things are lot different now. Lukaku won't sign for any club where he isn't first choice. He has developed a lot and very much in demand player.
 
If that's the case, well probably sell Rooney. Or...turn him into a CM.

Would love Lukaku here tbh. And would be easier to prise away than Kane and cheaper. Also more reports about Sanches being a done deal today. And apparently started following Utd today on Twitter and Instergram and some of our players. Can see Rooney staying and Mata getting shipped out when Mou signs. Maybe a front 4 of Lukaku, Martial, Memphis, Rooney next season under Mou if he plays 4231. If he plays 433 I would like to see a front 3 of Lukaku, Martial, Memphis with Schniederlin, Herrera, Schweinstiger in CM.
