I'm not including Porto as playing youngsters is norm over there.

Cech was 22 which was young for GK.
Glen Johnson -20 years played 28 games.
Robben - 20 years old.
Huth - 20 years old
Obi Mikel - 18-19 year old
Kalou - 19 years old
Lass Diarra - 21 years old

Inter
Santon - 17 year old
Balotelli - 18 year old

Madrid
Marcelo - 22 years old
Di Maria - 22 years old
Ozil - 22 years old
Varane - 19 years old
Morata - 19 years old

Chelsea:
Hazard - 22 years old
Oscar - 22 years old
Zouma - 20 years old
Courtois - 22 years old

There are few obvious players who can be excluded like Hazard, Ozil, Di Maria and also you can filter down age if you want, just have to remove few names.

Like I said, Jose is very poor at promoting players from academy to First team but when the young player who is part of first team is good enough, they will play (obviously there are exceptions).
 
Christ?? The ABU naysayers are driving me nuts at the moment regarding Rashford.

"He's a flash in the pan... Won't be worth a bollix in a few years".
"Just another overhyped 'kid'. Will be playing in the The championship in a few years".
"Once He's found out, He'll disappear".

He's a decent young lad trying to get ahead in sport (and life), and He should be commended for it.
Stop trying to bring people down because your life didn't turn out exactly how you wanted it to.

Half of those players were already insane. Players like Hazard and Di Maria went for big money.Ozil? You having a laugh? Half of Europe wanted him before Madrid signed him after that incredible world cup. Fair play to Van Gaal for getting alot out of young players.

If the likes of KdB and Lukaku are held against him, then all these names count.

Can't have it both ways.

We are talking about young players, irrespective of price tag.

Read the full post, I said those players can be excluded as they were high profile players if needed.

If you look at his record, Mourinho has an abysmal record when it comes to young players. He more or less plays the same team for the whole season with the injury-proof magic beans. Remember when Chelsea had a striker crisis before Costa? I remember that he played Schurrle up top than than looking at his youngsters.

Ye, I rather look at Sunilvk's list since the one in the article didn't look really impressive. Having that said I agree with Damola. Mourinho tends to play with a core of x players and if one of his first 11 gets injured he shoehorns people in the team instead of looking at youngsters.

Giving youth a debute and 1-2 matches a season in cups isn't really giving them a chance. Giving them a spot in the starting line-up when a first team player is injured is. I think it was one of the critics the Chelsea fans had this/last season.

The players I mentioned are not the players who just got few games here and there. They were regular in his sides. Otherwise I would have included players like Jese, Loftus Cheek, Kenedy and few others.

Exactly. I think people need to read the article, and not just the list of players in it.
 
Couple of the tabs reporting that Carrick had been in talks with Everton for a free transfer next season. Has been a very good signing for us and at 18m ish what we paid for him, has been a bargain. But it's time for him to move on imo.
 

​​Why Liverpool and Man City could end Man Utd's Champions League hopes!


Let's start with the basics: In the simplest scenario, who qualifies for next season's Champions League?


Based on a complex formula that we need not go into, Uefa coefficients decide how many Champions League spots are available to each country in Europe.
Currently only Spain, Germany and England receive four automatic places, while Italy, Portugal and France are awarded three. There are nine nations with two spots and the rest of the European nations scrap it out for the remainder.
All of which means that the top four teams in the Premier League are ordinarily awarded a place in the following season's Champions League...

What if a team wins the Champions League or Europa League?

If a team is triumphant in the Champions League, they will automatically gain entry to the group stage of the following season's Champions League.
As of last season, if a team is triumphant in the Europa League, they will automatically qualify for the following season's Champions League. They will enter the Champions League at the play-off stage UNLESS the winner of the previous year's Champions League finish in the Premier League top three, in which case they will head straight to the group stage.


So are Manchester City and Liverpool guaranteed Champions League football if they win both European trophies this season?


Yes. Both Manchester City and Liverpool are in the semi-finals of their respective European campaigns (the Champions League and Europa League) and victory in the final would GUARANTEE them Champions League football next season regardless of where they finish in the Premier League.
Although England automatically receives four Champions League places each season, Uefa allows for a maximum of five teams from any given country to qualify each year. Which does raise the question...


What happens if both Manchester City AND Liverpool win but fail to finish in the top four?


This is the crucial bit.
If Manchester City win the Champions League but do not finish in the top four then there will be five spots available to English sides. That final spot will go to whichever team finishes fourth in the Premier League UNLESS Liverpool win the Europa League, in which case it will go to Jurgen Klopp's side instead.


Who could be the big losers?


Manchester United or West Ham. If either of these two sides finish in the top four then they will be praying for results in Europe to go their way.
- A European trophy for ONE of Manchester City OR Liverpool would still allow Manchester United or West Ham to pick up that final Champions League spot if they finish fourth in the Premier League.
- A European trophy for BOTH Manchester City AND Liverpool would mean Manchester United or West Ham miss out on the Champions League even if they finish fourth in the Premier League.


Haven't we been here before?


Yes we have. Tottenham finished fourth in the Premier League in the 2011/12 season but lost their spot in the Champions League because Chelsea won that competition while finishing sixth domestically.
As a result of that happening, Uefa changed their rules to allow a fifth team to qualify from each nation if they are victorious in Europe. That may not be enough for Manchester United or West Ham though.


Does Manchester City and Liverpool's European run have any other ramifications?


It certainly does: England's Uefa coefficient is going through the roof.
Only a few months ago England was seemingly in danger of losing its fourth Champions League spot to Italy after a relatively poor few seasons in Europe from Premier League clubs.
With Juventus and Lazio losing in the Champions League and Europa League round of 16 respectively, that prospect now looks to be a distant one, with four places now all but guaranteed for England in 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19.


Are there any other interesting subplots?


Funny you should ask. There is the rather brilliant prospect of Manchester City's future manager knocking them out of the Champions League and potentially ending their hopes of playing in the competition next season.
Already confirmed as the man to take over the City managerial role this summer, Pep Guardiola's current side Bayern Munich are one of four teams still in Europe's premier competition. Should the two sides be drawn against each other in the semi-finals (or face one another in the final), Guardiola's Bayern could knock City out of the competition.
If City then fail to finish in the Premier League top four, the Spaniard will have been largely responsible. Awkward.
