The Manchester United Thread

A few English press tomorrow are running the Sanches story 46m £ 31 upfront and 15m £ in add ons. Few in Portugal saying it could be announced as early as tomorrow or early next week after Benfica president returns from negotiations in Manchester. Great news tbh looks a talent. Been happy with things so far Ed is doing back end of this season. The revamping of the academy staff/coaching and training. The new scouting being put into place. The new youth signings we have already made recently. Signing Sanches one of Europes top talents. Mou and most likely Berta coming in. Things looking up and good moving forward.
 
Jesus, only 5yrs ago you could have bought Aguero or Mata with that.. Football is getting close to jumping the shark on fees, agent or otherwise.
 
Custis tomorrow going big in the Sun saying that Mou has been confirmed and that they have started telling staff already.

Sure Mou has been managing us for so long now that they'll start running stories about him being sacked if we don't get results.
 
Would be very happy if we are still seriously interested in Saul. He and Sanches would be great signings for our Midfield.

I remember someone around here was making FM teams consisting of players with epic hair.
 
Just watching MUTV and Luke Shaw was on there saying training is good and his leg has stopped hurting now after initial physio and early training. And now feels strong and fit and pushing for return end of season. Great news.

Was about to post this. Forgot about him completely. After watching Rojo as LB it would be unreal to have player of Shaw's quality playing as LB for us. His pace and attacking ability is on another level compared to Rojo.

Also Shaw and Martial playing on same flank, that would be awesome.

He was on another level at the start of the season! Both attacking and in defence. Will be great to have him back next season, will be like a new signing :)

I just hope he comes back the same player. Valencia has never been the same since. Always that thought in the back of your mind when going in for a 50/50 or when a player is charging in at you.

Valencia won ManUtd player of the year after coming back from injury. He had his best ever season in 2011-12 and he was injured in 2010-11 season.

Still not the same player. You could see him not going into tackles or jumping out of the way when players were coming into him. Nothing to do with his stats.

Disagree about that. He was a beast in 2011-12 season and even in Fergie's last season he was unbelievably quick and physically dominant. Also he was back as good as was and played important role in CL games when we reached finals in 2011. He was even selected ahead of Nani for finals.

After that I don't know what was the reason it went downhill so quickly for him. Not even half the player he was and now he lost his explosive acceleration too.
 
We just have to wait and see, there is a chance Shaw will never be the same player after this injury but personally I reckon he will come back stronger than ever, however it will take time and the worst thing to do is rush him back, I wou;dn't even play him again this season and not give Hodgson a hope of taking him to Euros.

Valencia came back better than ever since his injury. Just that no. 7 shirt that got handed to him ruined his career
