Mourinho agrees to join #MUFC & will sanction Stones & Sanches deals | @TelegraphDucker
 
So, according to Ducker:
- Agreement in principle with Mourinho, but nothing signed.
- Chances of Van Gaal staying beyond the summer are slim, regardless of what happens in the final weeks of the season.
- Mourinho is already making plans about the squad.
- The club gave Van Gaal every opportunity to turn things around and change the fortunes as no one at the club wanted to sack him in the middle of the season as it'd have ruined our reputation of being supportive and patient.
- Giggs hasn't given up hope (entirely) of succeeding Van Gaal, but it's extremely unlikely.
- Deal for Renato Sanches is expected to happen; Strong interest in Stones; We've been offered the chance to sign Kroos; Interest in Griezmann (expected to sign a new deal shortly with an increased release clause), Ibrahimovic and Aubameyang dependant on the managerial situation.

And according to a few Brazil sources we have already bid 30m euros for Gabriel Jesus.
 
Just been speaking to a few Ajax lads who follow there youth very closely and we are apparently leading the race for Reden, and Zimanni with Dutch journos reporting the same. Both 15 atm so not sure we can sign till there 16 anyway. But both are best at there age group at that level,
 
If Van Gaal is as good as gone, how come there's supposedly so much transfer activity? Something doesn't add up here.

Seems to me that these journous are just releasing their own farts as usual.

Was same when Moyes was just about to get sacked. And if reports are true Mou has been scouting and compiling a list of targets since the new year. Transfers will have nothing to do with LVG if he's gone.
 
Di Marzio reporting Branca Juve director of football will replace Berta at Atletico next season. Must mean Berta is joining Mou surely next season. Apparently Simeone asked for Branca as they use to be team mates and he trusts him and are good friends. 2 other Italian papers saying the same.

Do you really think a new manager coming in wouldn't try to get his transfers sorted before he arrives? It happens all the time.

On a longer term agreement/replacement maybe, before you've actually sacked the gaffer, i doubt it much.

He's most probably been told he's been going weeks ago. Who knows! That's my guess. And if Mou is getting the job and has known for a while I am sure he will be having a say on transfers already. We shall see.

Because like at City, they have simply got on with it. The reason I think he is going is because Sanches is not an LVG type player at all

Pretty much. If that's what's actually going on, it's just in a bad taste, same as what's happening with Pellegrini. Whole lot of bruhahaha about how they're a club that supports managers, meanwhile new one is already doing deals on a corpse of a current one.
