Sir Matts birthday, 17 years since we won the treble and 12 years since Mourinho won the CL with Porto. What a day to appoint him as our new manager :) Soccer aid is going to be crazy next week!

Was just discussing that today when someone mentioned he was born today in 1909. People forget what he did for both clubs. Player, captain and coach before and just after the war at Anfield. Then breaking out on his own at Utd and all the success that followed there.

Amazing to think how three all time greats, Busby, Shankly and Stein, all came from a small radious of villages in Ayrshire and Lanarkshire around the same time.

God rest them all.

The Guardian is now reporting a done dealio as well, and that Mourinho has already had photos taken in preparation for the Friday announcement. And he will be given 150-200m.
 
Cant remember when we unveiled LVG? Think it was about between 8-9 at night pics and stuff. If its not done today or tomorrow I cant see there being a presser as he has a lot of up and coming commitments out of the country right up until June the 11th.

**** sake, please no absurd costing Hazard. I literally see zero point when he can try and get the best out of Memphis and has Martial who plays wide left anyway.
 
Di Marzio reporting that Tottenham made him a good offer but was not interested as his wants to play for Utd.
 
I wonder if the club will cut their losses on Memphis. With Martial-Zlatan-Rashford up top, and Memphis being suspect defensively, there's 0 chance Mourinho will use him.
