Sell Blind?! What's this madness. Blind is the most tactical flexible of all three, the most effective and the least injury phone. You've all gone mad

Some report last week (Sky I think. But don't quote me. Only caught the convo in here) that had Blind and Mata as the first out of the door under Mourinho.

It was sky. But based on their so called sources and had not been found first hand anywhere else.

Knowing Mourinho I first assumed Blind would be almost perfect player for him due to his versatility and Mourinho's preference for tight squad.

Maybe but Blind has already stated that sacking LVG was bad business which won't have endeared him to Mourinho, who doesn't tend to keep players who support the previous manager generally.
Not quite true on either point, he was pointing fingers squarely at the press. Said LVG had not been treated properly last 6 months

Yeap and didn't Rooney do the same and Mourinho has no problems keeping him?

Ah but the fact Blind did say something doesn't help remember Mourinho likes to be the one giving information to the papers after all he is 'The Special One.' I personally DON'T think Blind will be on his way out, however, I don't think he will be a regular in the team especially not in defence.
He wasn't manager yet, I very much doubt he will base his decision on an interview a player he wasn't managing was free to give. It's pretty much irrelevant

It's all Irrelevant really this talk. All depends on the signings we make. If we sign 2 CBs and a CM or 2 he won't be missed. If we only sign 1 of each then we should defo keep him. If Mourinho does his usual first season job signing about 7 players I could easily see Blind, Rojo, Mata gone.

So he had one decent outing and one failed outing in Europe after he had established his teams superiority domestically. That does not make him a failed tactician. I agree he has been average in Europe but Allegri had the luxury of being allowed to focus more on Europe after Conte had already made Juventus the best team in Italy by a considerable distance in the previous 3 seasons

I didn't say he is a failed tactician. I said Allegri's team had confidence of being champions is a wrong argument to use as Conte's team were also champions.

Fair enough but I still feel Allegri had a easier job to manage Juventus in Europe after Conte had done the grunt work establishing them domestically

Allegri had a easier job signing for Juventus but how is his job easy in Europe than Conte when both had same teams especially in Conte's 3rd season and Allegri's first season?

Because Conte had already established Juventus as the best team in Italy by some distance? Okay sure if you are going into the microscopic comparisons of Conte's 3rd season and Allegri's 1st season then yeah Conte failed but I am talking about their reign as a whole

One thing I've realized is that mourinho is so good at spotting CB talent.

I argued for Conte in Chelsea thread saying he did very good job at Juventus. My initial point was what Conte and Allegri did with same team in CL. Not their reign as a whole.

Conte did exceptional job at Juventus and there is no doubt about it in my mind. He took over the team in 7th and finished season unbeaten. One of the main reason why Juventus are so strong even today.

wow really things must be bad
God what a pile of **** it was! Terrible football lack of goals lack of creativity lack of anything really. FA Cup sort of polished a **** winning it. But how the mood has changed since Mourinho in new deals for CBJ and Rashford and soon for Carrick and TFM. Bailley all but done and one of the best players in world football all but signed. Warren Joyce staying on by the sounds of it and some good young talents joining this summer for the u21s and u18s. Can't wait for next season !!!
