The Manchester United Thread

Part of an excellent piece from Ian Bland in the 'United We Stand' fanzine.

Needs heeding from from the cretins on both sides who continue to stoop to such low life levels if relations are to ever improve. Somethings as decent human beings just shouldn't need saying:

Unfortunately the cretins you speak off can't read let alone understand that for anyone to lose their lives in the name of sport, whether it be watching, playing or just travelling is a huge lost to all.

Sadly. As forlorn as it is, all you can do is try educate on their ignorance and hope their numbers become less.

Being reported in Spain and Portugal-

- Mourinho added to his technical staff on Sunday, bringing Ricardo Formosinho in as his senior technical scout. According to Portuguese daily Record, Formosinho will aid Mourinho with player recruitment and tactical analysis of United's opponents. The 59-year-old previously coached with Mourinho at FC Porto and was part of his scouting department at Real Madrid.

Less of a mouthpiece, more of a fanboy who gets information and misinformation leaked to him every now and then
Oh right cheers for that. What you think about Bailley then mate? Been watching a few Villareal games today and yesterday. Lad seems to be a talent and lots of attributes to be a top CB. Obviously still a bit raw but I can see the comparisons in Zouma.

I like him, will be a good addition should it happen.

Would love it if there were some truth in the Aulas and Lozano talk. Would be very much when Mou signed a young Robben and Duff. You know anything about these 2? I've seen Aulas a few times looks a talent with pace and very good technique and dribbling.

Conte is not tactically superior, in fact he is tactically very average. His team didn't even qualify from group stages in CL. With the same team and without much additions Allegri reached finals and this season his teams was few mins away from knocking out Bayern.

He actually seems as if he changes his tactics to suit the players he has whereas Jose stuck with 4-2-3-1 regardless especially last season when it was clearly not working. He also at times likes using square pegs in round holes which again didn't work.

Conte is a fraud.

Get job in Juve ====> Sign Pirlo ===> Acquire titles in a league with no serious teams left ===> genius manager.

He helped built that Juve side that was his role.

Conte's seasons at Juve:
1st season: Champions - CL - didn't qualigy
2nd season: Champions - CL - QFs.
3rd season: Champions - CL - Group stages

So Conte's team was low on confidence when they were out in group stages is wrong. They were champions in the previous 2 seasons.

Agreed about Allegri. Taking out Morata was a costly mistake.

Allegri had a better squad overall than Conte its simple to see that. By the time Allegri took over Juve were back as one of the big names in Europe in general.

Are you trying to tell me that Conte is the better tactician?

Potentially yes i am because it seems as if Conte will change his formation. Jose used too especially in his first spell with Chelsea but in the most recent spell he was so predictable.

Conte isn't as much flexible as he is dicking around too much.

.

Conte and Allegri had same squads. Allegri's first season and Conte's last was nearly same squad with vastly different results in CL.

Juventus were big name when they won 2 Serie A titles anyway. Conte was out in group stages and with the same team Allegri reached finals in the very next season.

Ibra said he will make a big announcement on June 7th, phew. Very much mixed news. Hopefully he will sign for ManUtd. I want him to play in the league but sort of scared how much he will help our rivals. One side I'm like if not for us then hopefully outside England and other side would love to see him in PL.

Edit: 7th is not about announcing his club. Its about some launch.

Surprisingly quiet on the transfer front tbh. You'd think they'd want to get all business done before Euros...there's a reason why even the professor went shoping early this window.

I suspect we are getting on with it. Just not telling the whole world like we normally do

Z.Ibrahimovic: "I will announce my future on June 7. Some news might emerge before then, but my next club is fantastic." [@footballitalia]
