LOL. If it helps, he played the first leg of the semi against us out there. Looked very tidy on the ball (the whole back line did. Strength of the Villarreal team), but got caught out twice. Once leaving Allen free for an early sitter he missed. The second letting Lallana break clean through past him that was wrongly pulled back for offside. Big fella' too.

But read little into that. Just one game.

Am I the only guy who had never really heard anything about this guy before United made a bid haha
 
Very happy with this signing. His rise over the last few seasons has been immense! Was a key player in them winning the AFCON last year. He is quick, strong, good in the air and very athletic. Also comfortable with the ball on both feet and playing at either FB. But he has defo signed to be a CB.

Valencia? God, I hope not. But I reckon we do need to sign another defender, if we are letting go of Jones. Atm, as manumad said, defence is still a bit inexperienced..

25 Million rising to 31 Million. That includes performance related bonus. With new TV deal, these kind of fee would be very normal.
 
Also fantastic that we completed the deal so early. Don't have a clue on how good he is but have to trust Jose's defensive signings. Most of them are spot on and also he had few months to scout the players needed.

Like said should be fastest defense in the league.

Bailly is just year older than Romangoli. Not sure about highly rated he is though, looks physically strong player.

It's 25 Million pounds and with performance related bonus it's 30 or 31 Million pounds.
