He's FB not CB? But interesting, I thought Mourinho would be happy with his RB options.

He's a FB who can play DM. Essentially he's a right sided, more physical, slightly less technical version of Blind

Where does Fosu-Mensah fit in if we get him and we keep Blind? We've already added in CB with Bailly and midfield maybe... with Pogba or someone else.

I'm worried, this kid is a real talent and we should be utilising him.

Fabinho should only be bought if one of the RB were sold. Fosu-Mensah future lies in CM. Carrick and Schweinsteiger are old, no one really rates Fellaini, Herrera never convinced anyone and i get the feeling that Mourinho doesn't think that highly of Schneiderlin.

He's a left back/centre back/dm. Valencia or Varela go, probably Valencia.

#MUFC will make an offer and Juve will decide whether to accept. Pogba won't ask for sale. But he would return to Manchester (Di Marzio)

Fabinho would be a good addition but I would only sell him if Valencia and Varela were sold.

Seeing as Mourinho said he likes his players to be specialists and not shifting players to different positions, that pretty much puts the nail in Valencia's coffin as far as right-back goes. So unless Mourinho wants to put him back as a winger, it would make sense to move him on and bring a new right back in.

If that were the case, we would've been looking for a DM.

Well, we have Carrick, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Blind to play DM. They are more or less alike, they can tackle and control the midfield with short passes. But there's no one to pair them up. The only creative CM is Ander Herrera, and we don't have a powerhouse like Pogba. So i don't think a DM would be an urgent sign, even if Mourinho doesn't rate Schneiderlin.

Bastian Schweinsteiger letter to the Germans and French. Very classy.

"Dear fans,

It’s a real shame. Our dream has not been fulfilled. We didn’t make it to the final, so Rio will not be followed by another magical night. Unfortunately, we were missing something extremely important against France: a little bit of luck. Defeats are a part of the game though, even if they hurt. We of course acknowledge our opponents’ performance and sincerely and warmly congratulate the French team on progressing to the final.

I am proud of what we have achieved. We have stayed true to playing our style of football. We have continued to grow as a team in the last seven weeks and this togetherness, which made us strong in Brazil two years ago, has done the same again here in France. We are a team, we are Die Mannschaft.

Our fans are also a part of it. Wherever we were, Lille, St. Denis, Paris, Bordeaux or Marseille – thanks to you we had our twelfth man by our side. Your enthusiasm was clear to hear and see in the stadiums. We also felt the support of all the people in Germany. At this point, we would like the say THANK YOU to all the fans.

We would also like to thank the hosts, France and the French people. We have felt happy, safe and fully welcome from the first day. We had the best possible conditions in Evian. We were able to concentrate and train intensely, as well as relax in peace and recover where we were staying. France have been amazing hosts for the European Championship.

I would like to take my hat off to France on behalf of the team.

Merci! Au revoir! And see you soon!"
