If he's that good, how has he got to 23 with only 6 caps and no bigger club than Basle bringing him over?

That Malachians bloke just said on live Periscope that all parties are agreed on Pogba will be an official announcement when he's back from his hols. Does anyone mind if I post the tweets? I watched it myself and it's exactly what he said.

  • Bastian to leave to go back to germany, januzaj, wilson, pererra to go on loan,Young mata,valencia,fellaini fighting for futures
  • Sergio romero to leave, rooney to start season on bench and may be sold if he causes problems in media as he has many friends(Basically casillias him, i think most united fans will be happy with that)
  • Jones considered important and Mourinho thinks he can get him fit, it is his last chance this season.
  • Depay. darmian also get last chances. Mata may stay if no suitable buyer for atleast 25 million not found.He will be squad player

that all sounds good like the bit about rooney but not happy with leting bastian go if all this is true

So who's going to be the 10 if Rooney is benched and Mata is basically being sold? Only Mkhitaryan/Lingard for the right if Januzaj is loaned and Mata, Young and Valencia are fighting for futures/sold.

Will Johnstone be back-up goalie if Romero goes?

Must have a few more targets in mind than the reported 4 we're after/already got. Is there any point in keeping a nearly 31 year old Rooney to sit on the bench for £250k a week? Also where does he stand as captain if he's on the bench?

Really cant see all this coming off. Raises more questions than answers. But if it does it appears there's plans for Herrera then so its not all bad. Hopefully he'll get a good run.

If we get Pogba and Matuidi, with Rooney benched and Mata benched/sold does that mean its a 4-3-3?

- Fee for Pogba is for his potential, he's not the finished article. Also he is not 'desperate' to join United but has agreed to.
- Schweinsteiger will leave because he is no longer physically capable of playing in a Mourinho midfield.
- Mata might leave but is not an 'easy player to sell'. If he stays he won't be a starter.
- Januzaj has a 'horrible' attitude. Was very rude to some fans apparently.
- Rooney could lose captaincy. If he does he expects Rooney to get 'nasty' with his leaks. Rooney is a big negative for the dressing room if he is not happy. High potential of clash with Mourinho who expects total loyalty from players.
- Tuanzebe will be in the first team squad and get some game time.
- Another 2-3 players might come in after Pogba but they won't be big signings and it's dependent on who we sell.

Check my last post might answer a few of your questions mate. Also said Mourinho has always been confident hence why he set date in his first presser and Mendes has been key in help brokering the deal.
 
Yeah...don't believe a word this guy is saying. Co-host of "Beyond the Pitch'' and works for Talksport, but doesn't even have a verified account. I find it hard to believe he knows what Jose's plans for the starting line-up are, and the comments on Rooney in particular are laughable.

Why is it laughable? Just because LVG and Moyes were to scared to drop Rooney don't think Mourinho won't he did it to Terry and Iker at Madrid and even Hazard when he was not performing. And it's well known he had good connections at the club. Has people from the club on his show often.
 
I'm sorry, on what planet "Cassilasing" Rooney would be a good thing? Iker's treatment was despicable.
 
Custis and Jackson seemed pretty sure on UIP that Pogba will be a Utd player by the Bournmouth game. They said the figures seem to add up which usually means a deal will be done.

I agree, if Rooney doesn't perform he will be dropped. I just don't believe the speculation that he'll start the season on the bench, be stripped of the captaincy or any of these conspiracy theories about Rooney leaking stuff.

Someone asked Pilib who would play #10 if Rooney doesn't start, and his answer was "not sure but it won't be Rooney''...well, I don't know how he can be so confident about that if he can't even come up with a replacement.
