Seems like neither LVG nor Mourinho rate Schneiderlin, makes you wonder who actually approved this transfer.
And going off today's performance Bailly completely proved me wrong. Hope he keeps it up
I honestly don't know what put you off him so much in the friendlies, Bailly has been excellent in every game I'vse seen of him so far. He is a hard ******* in that defence and I'm liking it, about time we had some spine to our team.
Also I agree with the guy who said Blind does compliment a CB like Bailly very well, like I say I reckon Smalling will have his work cut out getting into this defence at the moment.
Bailly and smalling are different actuallyI think its got to be one of Smalling/Bailly with Blind. Smalling and Bailly are too similar to play together in my opinion. Blind compliments them both well. If today was anything to go by, and its gonna be that level of performance week in week out, then Bailly would be ahead of Smalling. But today was Bournemouth so not getting too carried away. Lets see who he goes with for Southampton. But I'd keep the same team as today but swap Fellaini for Pogba. Glad to see Herrera getting a game. Once he gets a run he could be our Fabregas from Chelsea for the first half of the other season. Especially with Pogba next to him being everywhere at once. Will allow him more freedom on the ball.
Bailly and smalling are different actually
Bailly is more aggressive and much better on the ball.
Smalling is more of a reader of the game with good presence in the box with very good aerial ability. He hardly ever dives into challenges but Bailly does that a lot. He didn't dive into them as much today, perhaps mou had a word or 2 about that.

Am i the only united fan who was disappointed with martial? In truth, since the euros, he hasn't been himself. The 2 assists perhaps maskes an average performance.
Fellaini, on the other hand, shut me up yesterday. As you lot would know, when I saw fellaini's name on the team sheet, I threw chairs around the place and overturned a lot of tables but he was actually good. Broke up play well and passed the ball well (only short passes but still good). He didn't contribute a lot offensively but defensively, he was spot on.
Now to rooney, the conundrum that never seems to go away. I swear, he has a "start me in every game" clause in his contract put in by moyes. It breaks my heart so dearly to see an off form rooney playing ahead of the Bundesliga player of the year all because of some mere arm band.

I think it's kinda good Martial's had an off game and perhaps isn't playing as amazingly yet as he was last season, yet we still comfortably won both this game and the Community Shield (don't think Leicester played well at all last weekend and only got their goal because of that ****** Fellaini back pass...) without him.
It show's that we're no longer reliant on a 19 year old to do everything for us
I think Martial will start picking up soon. He's only been back in training a few weeks now and he didn't exactly get a lot of minutes in the Euros, so it will definitely take a few weeks for him to get back up and running. Hopefully to the same level as last season![]()
Looks like Mou is gonna bring in Fonte according to a lot of sources. Pilib De Bruin says it could be done next week, same source who told him about Pogba and Bailly.
Thought we had spoken to him. Seen a few papers saying he is flattered by the interest?Considering we havent spoken to the player, let alone the club, I would say he's weighing in far too early.
Agree but would be a serious bad move for him to come sit on our bench. I would not mind though to have him replace Rojo.Fonte only comes in if we're selling one of Jones or rojo
