The Manchester United Thread

0-0 at HT in tbh is a pretty poor game. We should be 2 up but Wier has missed 2 sitters playing as a STR. The usuall suspects have impressed. Tuanzebe, Riley, Poole. Henderson made a world class save to keep us in it at HT. Willock, Harrop, Kehinde all tidy and look good players, but not sure any will make here tbh. When you look at the team it's pretty poor apart from the 3 defenders. With no CBJ, Goss, Wilson, Keane, Periera, Williams And Periera the GK it's missing some serious quality. Tbh the u18s have more talent in the squad atm especially in attacking areas and midfield.

If anyone is wondering if PSG wish they still have Zlatan despite having Cavani...

1-0 saints. Poor defending by Kehinde not following his runner allowing him to get the cross in. Tusnzebe tried his best to head it away it fell to there player who shot and was deflected in by Riley lunging attempt block. Been poor this second half. Wier has moved to LW and looks like we're playing without a STR. Saints well on top.

2-0 saints shocking marking from Mc Tominay from the corner easy header. We are really gonna struggle this season. Don't know why some of the players aren't playing who are waiting for loan moves.

I swear, for all the money they've spent, Ibrahimovic leaving notches them down so many levels. They've basically signed Ben Arfa to try compensate his departure, and although I do rate Ben Arfa as a player, he's not exactly a world class goalscorer or even a natural number 9 for that matter. I would be very content to be drawn against them in any European competition if being honest. They won't count in the Champions League this year, quarter finals at the best (if even).

With Krychiowiak and Matuidi they could play them and they have a good defence so they don't have to score a lot but, if Cavani is the man they are going to rely on for goals they are in trouble

Finished 2-0 to the Saints. Poor from Utd no creativity no wingers in the team no STRs in the team. Bad when you know your defenders and GK are gonna be best players every game. Gonna be a long hard slog for the u23 this season.

Warren Joyce quite damning on #mufc U23s. Said he was 'embarrassed' by them. 'I think I've got a bit more ambition than some of them.'

Joyce also said some of the players were 'deluded'. Scathing interview but difficult to disagree with. #mufc

Hull away next. They've won 2 from 2, but unlike Liverpool, I don't want to see any excuses about losing this game. We have city after this and we should be going in 9 from 9, 7 bare minimum, though that would still be somewhat disappointing.

Man that video makes me sad. Cavani was one of my favourite players when he was at Napoli, he was so good, but three years playing second fiddle/winger to Zlatan has totally destroyed him. Unlucky on at least one of those shots but two or three years ago he would have had a hat trick at least

7 would be bare minimum if we only had 4 points by now. Losing to Hull (or even dropping points) is not an option!

Yep. We don't want to settle for Pool standards and dropping points against mediocre teams who you should be beating if you want to be challenging.

Got to be getting 3 pts out of these kind of games and keep the momentum rolling. Jose Mourinho teams can be like a steam train once they get going, so if we can build this momentum early it bodes well.

Personally I don't see much of anything to fear in Hull, we're simply better all over the pitch. Although that doesn't mean we will win, but I am confident we can go there and score goals. Given our defence so far I don't fancy us conceding against that attack.
