Bailly was good.No worse than an other United player. They were all poor.
But take nottin' away from Feyenoord. (Who were far from great themselves.). Top the Dutch League with 5 wins out of 5. To think Utd just had to turn up to win was never going to be the case regardless. This is a tricky group. No question one they should come through, but it's no cakewalk. The only positive out the night was the other game ended in a draw so no real damage done save for pride and a few lost coefficient points.

Promising signs for CBJ and Periera not seen to much of Wilson this season. Heard he's been ok but not scoring when he's played.Yeah I'd love for Carrick and Rashford to start as well, but I still think he'll go with Fellaini and Mata as he did the first games.
I hope Rojo is out in January and CBJ takes his place haha, also saw Pereiras game with Granada, looking very mature indeed!
Pep: I'm not going to accept that it is easy because we worked hard to play this well. Bournemouth are the best team we have played in our five matches, so I am very pleased.

He was referring to the manner in which they played, suggesting his other opponents so far, United included, "just used the long ball" which a tad hypocritical considering his opening goal in the derby was as route one as you'd get.
There's nothing wrong with long balls but pep is being a hypocrite thereSo De Bruyne should have rejected the chance to score because it was a long ball?

It wasn't even a criticism. It's media spin. He said that Bournemouth were the best team he's played against because all other teams played a higher proportion of balls long. United did play a higher proportion of long balls vs United therefore he was right. It's not even a dig. Guardiola highlighted that we played long balls into Giroud in order to beat the press when we beat Bayern 2-0 at home last year. Same with Jurgen Klopp who said the exact same thing after the 3-3 draw at Anfield. Opposition fans seem to see the words long ball being associated with their team as a pejorative. A good long ball is a quite legitimate way to beat a press. No? When did I say anything like that? This has got nothing to do with De Bruyne or Kolarov (who launched the route one ball), the players have every right to do it and I don't see why some direct passes here & there should be frowned upon, I'm just saying how can Pep come out a week later and criticize that method when it was the very one that saw his side open the scoring in an ultra important game in which they only won by 1 goal a week prior? (not as if that goal didn't matter in the grand scheme of things, they only won by a single goal).
As good as a manager he is, he made a bit of a mug of himself there.
General observation that's kind of related:
The majority of football fans, and pundits for that matter, need to learn the difference between a good long pass, and a hopeful long ball.
Carry on.
I think you've got it wrong. A long ball is the same as long pass. A clearance is different to a long ball. A clearance is when the ball is knocked away aimlessly therefore is doesn't count on passing statistics. A long ball is when a player had made a deliberate attempt to find another over a specific distance. Iheanacho was playing as a target man. Kolarov deliberately hit him and got it inch perfect. Iheanacho saw the runner and played De Britney in. It was a well worked goal to beat one of the few. United presses.Exactly, and in my opinion, Kolarov's was rather hopeful, it's not like it was defence splitting (it needed Ihenacho to head it on). But it's part of the game, simple. If someone tried to dis Iceland's long throw to me, I'd tell them to **** off.
