I'm in major depress mode right now

The only slight glimmer of hope I have right now is that Mourinho traditionally makes his home stadium a fortress, so if you forgive the derby defeat, then let's just get the league cup game out of the way and bring on the champions at Old Trafford on Saturday (says RhQQ somewhat optimistically)

But we had Schneiderlin, Pogba & Herrera all together against Feyenoord, and we looked just as much out of sync.
 
It's all a process, but given how well we played against Bournemouth, Southampton & Hull, you can't blame me or any other United fans for not expecting the same here :@
 
I'm not blaming it all on Fellaini but as long as he plays as a DM in a 3 or in a 2 against teams that have clever movers in the CM area we will struggle. Same goes for Rooney playing in midfield, he plays as a STR or not at all for me.
 
The Mourinho meltdown isn't usually due for another season or two is it?

You were far from great in any of those games.

Hull was the best and deserved win but they still had quite a few chances. Southampton never had their shooting boots on or else that could of been another catastrophe before half time. Bournemouth, I never saw bar passing glances down at Arsenal before our game but it was far from stellar by all accounts.

Point being people went ridiculously OTT after those first three, and the Charity Shield. Which I get. It might not of been great but unlike LVG Utd were winning games again. But it's a process as has been mentioned and people don't need to go OTT the other way now there's been a dip. You knew what you were getting in Mourinho. It's not going to be pretty a lot of the time and a lot of hard watches but he'll get you results. But even that is going to take time and many, many hours of repetition in training to get them fully drilled.

You win 3. You lose 3. That's football.
 
I thought our second half performance against Southampton was some of the best attacking football I've seen at Old Trafford in a long time, although that isn't saying a whole pile
 
I gues the problem is Mourinho having too many 'untouchables' on his team.He is at his best when he is able to do tactics without having to keep players in mind(e.g. Inter)He ends up having a meltdown when he goes to big clubs because the egos there and having to adapt his tactics to them.The pity is that he leaves the clubs where he does very well, looking to manage big clubs like real while he is better off managing clubs like Atletico or Inter
 
I'll never understand why United didn't try to lock down Pep instead. He would be a perfect replacement for LVG, the team was already well drilled in everything that Pep wants to do, it just needed some finishing touches, taking the shackles off a bit, and it'd be ready to challenge.

Instead they bring Mourinho who will play completely different style, the rebuilding needs to start from scratch and they have to go through another 1-2 years of "it's a process" excuses. Terrible management.

your joking right real are a joke run by assclowns there not a team fine thay win a camp league every now and then but there not a team thay are just look that new and shiney lets get it and hope to god it works mou will be fine god got to love the internet god helps us

Manchester City have superior and much more technical players, particularly when you take Pogba out of the equation in the red half (who Pep wouldn't have signed), he wouldn't have been as effective at Old Trafford as he is at the Etihad in my honest opinion.

Silva, De Bruyne, they're the perfect heartbeat of what he wants to do

Real aren't a joke, they just have people who managers have to base their tactics around, something that Mourinho while he is able to do, can't maintain for a long term, he ends up in meltdown mode every time.These sort of teams are more suited for more tactically flexible, motivation based managers like Zidane and Ancelotti.What I am saying is that if Mourinho were willing to manage teams like inter or Porto for a long time, he would be able to

Also, they didn't buy any 'shiny stuff' this season and won't for the next 2 windows
