The Manchester United Thread

We seriously need to sort out our left hand side. And some quality in depth in CM. And our finishing, can't be missing chances like we have this season.

And could you hand on heart say it was not 100% directed at the officials who blew the whistle at least a minute prematurely after all of Hull's time wasting antics?

Anyway, not arsed having this, too ******

They were defo boos at the end of frustration at the result. Could here it on my stream on MUTV commentary and a few of my mates who are there text me about them.

That was really average in truth. Only piece of quality I remember was the nice back heel flick from zlatan to pogba.

I'm just glad that Mourinho is as past it and tactically incompetent as Wenger. The football was atrocious. Now he's pushing out Martial. Not good.

.....3 points are crucial sunday, but i guess we will be saying that every week now

Goes for every team above you mate. The pace this season, skewed by that 13 game winning streak for Chelsea, is abnormally high.

Put a tweet up on that earlier the PL thread. No way this holds up at this ridiculous rate next season.

And there he goes narking about Klopp who he wasn't even playing and woe betide me.

Frigging *******.

It's to take pressure off. United fans may not like this but he's past it like Wenger. No longer elite.

If Mourinho is past it for one bad season at Chelsea but yet winning the league the two seasons ago. Then your basically saying that every single manager in Premier League is past it apart from Conte who will probably win league this year.

Well done Hull. Fully deserved. Bang average Utd in a game bereft of any quality.

Utd's goal scoring problems are worse than they were under van Gaal for all the money thrown at it. Can see why there's so much frustration among the match going support.
I disagree. The scoring problems aren't worse. We ended with 45 league goals if you recall. The attacking play is still miles better. We're going through that same phase we went through earlier in the season.

Reality United fans. Look at that shocking positional structure. Guardiola would ship out a player that wasn't adapting to his system. This positional structure wouldn't get results in any other of Europe's top leagues. Mourinho can't coach a decent positional structure. Marco Silva has implemented it better in 1 week of coaching than Mourinho in over a decade. Watch any other game. This is a recurring issue.

This is why Arsenal haven't won the league since 2004. Look at the midfielders hiding behind the opposition line of press. Any manager in Italy would see a serious inquest for this tactical failure. The Premier League is a tactically dead league. We all need to look at ourselves and accept this isn't good enough. I don't have a Mourinho agenda. Lots of Premier league sides have the same issue.

Mourinho, one of the most decorated managers in the game, can't teach positional structure because Damola posts one snapshot to prove it. Cutting edge analysis here Jeff.

On the plus side this should shut up that monumental gobshite Castles for a few days which is good news for everyone.

Good news on Phil Jones. Just a kick on his instep that's bruised. Said will be ok in a couple of days. Still shocked at how Niasse didn't get 2 yellows or even a straight red in the first half, could of had about 6 yellows the time he was on the pitch.

On a seperate note, what on earth is Pogba thinking with blonde hair. I mean it looks ridiculous and it can only help the haters. Sure he doesn't give a **** but ****, his fashion sense must be bad.

Seconds into the game vs Watford, I know we would lose.

Exact same problem here. Where are the midfielders? Wenger and Mou can't coach it or they would have. The first phase takes painstaking hours. Ask Carlos Ancelotti "It is a simple truth that if you want a team to play out from the back, to build the play patiently, then that takes hours on the training pitch to develop and refine". This is why Guardiola and Klopp are the best managers in the world. You don't think they'd win the league with Arsenal/United's squad?

Ancelotti has accepted his limitations, so his sides are transition based. In other words, he relies on the counter attack. Ancelotti will be the next generation to be left behind. The cracks are in his Bayern side. Alonso looks like a right mess in Bayern's double pivot where he's forced to chase pacey wingers much like Xhaka in Wenger's system. Their defensive transitions are nothing special. Their positional structure has seen a hit post Guardiola.

If he could do it, United would be playing like a Guardiola side. Silva has done better in a week. I've provided evidence.
