Missing the point somewhat, take a look since new year, Liverpool have been a downward slide in terms of results. In comparison to United we've been in form and looking like we're going to continue that. You can put it down to many things, but personally I think your lack of depth and the style Klopp wants has took its toll. Luckily for you, the schedule seems kind from now till the end to give you gaps between games where you can rest. So there's a good chance you can pick it back up again.
L'pool's down turn those two months had nothing to do with the physical demands. Through every game they've still been far fitter and going at the end of games more than any opponent they've faced despite the drop off in results. It's a lazy assertion that gets peddled in the media and run with by naive fans who don't look at the facts.
Their downturn came to losing half their side through injuries (which weren't the result of work rate), all key players, and the quality in depth not being there of a similar level to step in and replace that which lead to a complete loss in confidence and the overall style of play changing with players not wanting to take risks and get forward like they had been. Tottenham last time out, with all that first XI back together finally, was the first time that all changed and the L'pool pre-injury of the first quarter of the season returned with a vengeance.
You're right about the lack of quality depth but WHOLLY wrong about the perceived physical demands being a factor.
But then if Chelsea had lost even one or two key players, never mind the 4 or 5 L'pool have been contending with out of their first XI, they'd be nothing like the amount of points clear they currently are. Let's take two key players Pogba and Herera out of your midfield like Lallana and Henderson, Zlatan and Mikhtarian out like Sturridge, Coutinho or Sadio for a couple of months/ month respectively and see how the depth at Utd holds up. All relative.
There's little difference between first XI's in the current top 6. But there's a bigger drop off in everyone outside of City and Utd behind that.
I'm not even going to get into another round of B/S with you on Utd's recent run. We dissected that and everything to come through the week which you just flippantly dismissed as it didn't suit your view so it's a fruitless discussion with you.
