The Manchester United Thread

I think Pogba can take care of Carricks role in the coming years, I think he can be a great Deep Lying Playmaker. I don't see Pogba as a box-to-box to be honest?
Im not sure to be honest. Not sure of his positional play in defence. And will take away his main attributes. Takes to long and to many touches for me at times for that role also.

Pogba isn't a natural DLP. Playing him there, despite his fantastic range of passing, is limiting him way too much.

Pogba still young, with experience he might learn! But I agree, I still don't think he's a box-to-box, he's a playmaker of some sort.. the coming years will define what kind of playmaker he is. :D

Pogba's the definition of a roaming playmaker.

Young yes, but he's had more experience than some people had their entire careers. He's played 4 full Serie A seasons, he's 4 time champion of Italy, he played Champions League final, he's played Euro final, he has almost 50 national team caps already. That's a better record than just about anyone in United squad bar the veterans like Rooney Ibra and Carrick.

New to this... I stated at the beginning of the season to a couple of friends that 89mil on a Cm is ridiculous!
Having established that and seeing as #PogBack has happened.. The best line of action right now is to find the best man management plan for him... He dwells on the ball way too much and is always eager to put in a few tricks while at it. All he needs right now are the simple things!

He'll learn, but yesterday wasn't fatigue or settling in, it was just poor play. That said midfield set up was horrible and didn't help any of the 3 playing

i think jose will definitely look to recruit someone like bakayoko,a player in the essien mould instead of a carrick type. The midfield is a bit lightweight imo and needs a bit more steel for the way mourinho plays

United beat Real Salt Lake 3-1 in the second match of the Dallas cup. Next match against Coritiba (Bra) at 1:30 (AM) BST. Will do a match report and scorers later.

Goal scorers-
Bohui, Olosunde and Gribbin

Utd u23s drew away at Liecster last night. Should see us safe to stay up. Boring game tbh only high points were Dietrick Roberts, Indy Boonen, Ercolani make there debuts at this level. Say that Boonen was our most dangerous threat and Tuanzebe and CBJ were solid and in control at the back. Really thought we would go down at one stage. Butts seemed to have turned it around and got us well structured of late.

Really need to appoint a new u23 manager as soon as possible after the season has finished. Really has been a dissapionting and season to forget at u23 level this season. Tuanzebe stand out head and shoulders above the rest, way to good for that level as is CBJ and most probably Regan Poole also keepers Johnstone, Henderson, Periera all to good now also.

Leadt it was good to see Gribbin step up and play well with consistency and drive in his game. Also good for Williams, Sebatoui, Warren, Buffonge, Ercolani, Bohoui, Roberts to give good shows after making the step up. Will be interesting to see who steps up from the u18s next year full time. At a guess I would say Sebatoui, Warren, Williams, Kenyon, Bohoui, Hamilton, Buffonge, Boonen and maybe Ercolani. With Gomes, Burkart, Chong, Barlow, Dearnley all getting some mins.

Very congested and testing should we go all the way in the Europa League.. Looking at that, would've liked to have held on to Schweinsteiger until the summer.

Would of been good, but was right thing to do for the player. If it's that desperate Rooney will have to do a job. Plus TFM. Interesting in all the team releases he's in with the defence. Maybe Valencia understudy.

Twisted pirate ballsacks , calm down with the Twitter spam.

I couldn't give a rats *** that He's 32. I'd have Ronaldo back at United in a heartbeat.
Gets a sight on goal and He shoots.
