The Manchester United Thread

Great line on NBC just there on your only serious goalscoring threat not playing .....

'It's like going to see Oasis in Manchester and one of the Gallaghers not playing.'

..... Definitely prioritizing Europa League.

..... And defo proirisong EL now!

Welp looks like Jose has his mind set on the europa.

All after Mourinho talked out of his rear end yet again through the week .... (Paraphrasing) 'Whilst it's still mathematically possible to make the top 4, I couldn't play a second string side against Chelsea or the Country would kill me.'

Then he does just that.

But regardless of his continued B/S, hope Utd win the game.

I agree, would've thrown the kitchen sink at Chelsea personally. Not happy in any shape, way or form. Imagine Sir Alex naming a weakened team at this stage of the season, while it's mathematically possible to get a top 4 spot, against ******* Chelsea (with all due respect)?! it'd be out of the question.

It's United principals more than anything. But regardless, I'm behind the side.

To be fair to Mourinho, he has pretty much named an arguable full strength team bar Ibrahimovic. Sure Mkhitaryan is on the bench, but he has been bad recently so doesn't deserve a start. Apart from those two which are arguable, there isn't much else he could use that could be stronger than what he has put out. I'd have Carrick over Fellaini obviously.

Two other complete head scratchers.

Ashley Young, captaining the side? Ashley frigging Young who's barely played this year?

And after doing what he's done to Shaw publicly, why not play him if you're jibbing the league?

Ibra and Mkhitaryan's absences alone is like Barca dropping 2 of MNS. Fellaini with all due respect, is a nothing player in this system/role and always seems to affect Pogba's performances for the worse.

Young? Good workhorse, decent away from home weapon in big games, but at Old Trafford, when you have Mkhitaryan, Martial, Rashford etc... it just isn't the United way.

Shaw was right to be outed by Mourinho. The player himself even said in an interview on MUTV he got confetable and think he made it. Also admitted to not living right on and off the pitch especially with the people he surrounded himself with/ was living with.

Marco Alonso out Zouma in hurt in the warm up.

Completely disagree but you're never gonna' say anything negative on him whilst he's at Utd Tod so we'll leave it at that.

Surprised at all the complaints about the team. Goal aside this team has one job: spoil Chelsea's rhythm. Virtually no one has done that since they lost to Arsenal, and with their high line, disruption and then pacy counter is the way to win. Like playing Arsenal of old.

This notice United way stuff is nonsense. Did anyone ever watch us play Arsenal?
