The Manchester United Thread

Thank **** for Bailly! Considering how much shot Mourinho has got from many people for Shaw, Martial, Mky they have all stepped up and answered the call!

Thank goodness for the 2-0 lead. I was hoping we don't go into the 2nd half with 0-0 as there are a lot of tired players on the team

How many Bailly's are on the pitch? Immense today. How wrong was I in pre-season haha

How the **** is that a GK? Lol. Sums up state of officiating

Very good away performance. Everyone played well especially Pogba and Martial. Rooney did well considering his lack of football. Job done. Onto the next big game!

cant wait for thursday now.will be interesting to see what mourinhos gameplan will be.

It's strange how you seem to have found best form in months right after a lot of Jose's favorites got injured.

Tyton. It's the nistelrooy issue again. Individually brilliant, but limited the team. Can't fault what zlatan has done. Dragged us here, but the evolution of the team might be better off without him. Curious

Good to see Arsenal equalize vs City. Would like that game to go the entire grueling 120 minutes. Every little helps!

Juan Mata isn't exactly a Jose favorite

No he's not, but he was your key player in terms of offensive output. Both Mata and Zlatan were.

Now they're both out and it's not just that you're winning again, it's the style, you're running teams off the pitch these last 2 weeks. Some of the counter-attacks in particular wouldn't be out of place in 2008 United, Fergie's best side far as I'm concerned.

Mind games or dig at Arsene? Lol no trophy for Pep this season. Can't wait for him to reinvent English football :)))

José Mourinho says Manchester United will now prioritise Europa League: "Fourth position is not a trophy and in this club we want trophies"

So Man City brought to war for 120 minutes with no reward, Palace currently holding Liverpool at Anfield (think Pool will nick it, but there's always a chance of big Sam holding on) - On top of our comfortable 3 points, it could be a very good day.

When you look at forward players United have available - Rooney, Martial, Lingard, Miki, Young and Rashford - none of them are technical geniuses or world beaters, but the one thing they have in common, is they're all work horses. Whatever combination of players you create out of that, you will have very industrious front three. They will all help defend, and in attack they may not be dribbling past 5 players, but they will make themselves available for pass and try to make things happen.

And maybe that's what you need to do really. I mean when your central midfield always consists of two brilliant passers of Herrera(Carrick)/Pogba, maybe what you need to do is to just give them options upfront and the goals will come, instead of having them feed Zlatan for 90 minutes and pray for a moment of magic.

Whatever the explanation, it certainly seems like a transformed team, although we'll see how long it lasts.

No way of cutting it Peps been a major flop this season! And like I said before he joined City I'm not convinced he's the man to be successful there. Without having the a team full of the best players in world football. Time will tell but i don't think he will be the dominant force pundits were expecting/ certain he would be.

For me Mourinho will always be better at getting a team to play above its level than Pep. Mourinho can get a team to play well with good players. Pep needs the top quality players to need to perform.
