Yeah Morata looks like the real deal.. somehow I just feel more safe with Lukaku, he's a safe 20+ goals per season in PL isn't he?
 
I have no idea what the **** James brings to this team.... pointless signing for me.

Technique? Plenty of players who match him for that.

Dead ball specialist? We have a fair few.

No. 10? We have just as good options.

Out-wide? Makeshift and just as good options.

I really don't get much point in signing him. Plus I don't like his work-rate, good luck with him tracking back Jose if you play him out-wide.
 
Romero has been excellent all European campaign. Deserves to start.
 
We need to get a proper winger, CM, Striker as the 3 priorities this summer. LB can be added but I would say that's not as much a priority given we have plenty who can play there quite well.

I would add a CB but for me, you only get one if there is someone who is better than what we have.

Michael Keane? He's decent but won't improve us whatsoever. Just good cover more than anything, which admittedly we do need if we getting rid of a few like Jones.
 
No interest in James. Morata would be amazing. Oblak if DDG goes. then need a top class CB and DM
 
First and foremost, we have one game that matters the most right now, lets get that dealt with first
 
I just think if Morata goes anywhere it's Chelsea.

But yeh you're right Mike, a lot of this discussion is kind of pointless as the outcome of EL Final is huge in terms of our direction next season.

There is a big internal disagreement at Chelsea over who should be the top ST target this summer. Conte really wants Morata. Emeleano is desperate to bring back Lukaku. A lot will also depend on whether Costa actually leaves. The guy is very temperamental. Sometimes he looks like he will be happy to stay and other times he is desperate to leave. Look at his celebrations yesterday. Does not seem like a guy unhappy at the club and I suspect he will go crazy in China if he can't even settle in London.

For me personally, I will go for Morata. Sanchez will also likely push strongly for a move this summer especially if Wenger stays. That will be interesting as well.
 
I'd love Sanchez or Morata personally, their movement upfront is exactly what we need. Lukaku would basically be like a knock down version of Zlatan, still very good player but I think we have played our best football at times when we have had a mobile target like Rashford upfront.

It's just a shame we don't have players who pick out Rashford's amazing runs a lot of the time, the only one who does is Pogba really, that's why he is so crucial at the moment to our midfield.

I think LB is massively important in the Summer. We need someone of the quality of Valencia this season. Onless we want Darmian or Rojo starting there. A lot dependant on Shaw this Summer and if Mourinho thinks it's worth persisting with. I'm not sure about Zlatan. Since he's been missing our chance creation has dried up no end. But like you said with better quality in other areas especially in CM that should come back. Would still keep Zlatan for another year. Would be great to have him for the run in after new year. Ala Larson.

A lot of people seemingly want rid of Darmian but personally I'd love to keep him, he's a great defensive fullback and I think it gives a nice balance personally when you have someone like him as LB and Valencia who bombs up and down as RB.

Oh I don't want rid lol. But I want someone better going forward. I want a LFB that can do both. We don't really need to keep the balance if the squad is set up right. Look at most top teams around Europe they tend to have FBs that can contribute to both aspects of the game. I would defo keep Darmian. But still want a better LB.

Maybe a CDM, even tho I think Blind can do that job well.

No chance Fellaini is leaving. He does a job and what Mourinho wants and seems fairly happy not starting every game. The main problem I see is Herrera. We are definately gonna spend on a starting CM/DM in the Summer. So if we start with a 4231. Who misses out Herrera or the new signing? Would like Zlatan to stay but agree with the rest of the outs. Add to that list Varela and Januzaj and Wilson. Really hope we don't see to much of Rashford shunted out wide next season!


As for ins not happy in paying 100m for Lukaku and like Zzeezzy said he's just a limited version of Zlatan, plus his big game record is shocking. Bellotti same issue big fee and huge risk Italian STR don't tend to do well in the Prem, but he has been great for Torino. Morata, Augbamyang, Icardi would be my choices. Attacking mid defo Griezmann then James, Silva would be my other choices. LB has to be Mendy. And CB for me Gimenez or Laporte, Varane.
 
agree with TOD about fellaini staying,we can only get rid of so many and replace them at one time plus mourinho seems to trust him
 
**** that. We don't need to buy anyone to replace him. Promote pereria, if we need height, use TFM in midfield then. Problem solved.
