The Manchester United Thread

On a side note have to feel for Willock must have been only a few seconds away from making his debut before being delayed and then not able to get on
Defo felt bad for the kid but I think he knew he wasn't coming on unless of an injury, because mou clearly had a game plan with how he reacted when Bailey got injured

Not rotating at all has messed up our season and playing youth 15-20 min in europa would have done our season a world of difference.I am not saying youth were great but it proved they were the option mourinho has been crying on not having players to play every 3 days.If we win the europa it would be all good but what if we lose ?

Tuanzebe played like a veteran today. So composed good passing and played a more responsible game when Pogba went off. This lads got it all. Gomes with a nice little cameo :) McTominey defo won't make it here, could be a good Championship level player. Mitchell and Harrop have the ability to make it. Harrop needs a loan next season and at a good level. And Mitchell needs to stay and develop the defencive side of his game and stay injury free for a season.

Also watch out for Periera in goal will be Utds No2 in the near future! Gomes future Utd star ;)

Only time we could have thrown some youth on with a dominating scoreline would have been second leg vs Saint Ettienne and were down to ten men by that point

Thing that impresses me most with our youngsters is how confetable they are in the Media. Utd really do prepare our kids well for all aspects of football. So level headed and confident doing interviews etc. Gomes youngest ever Utd player :)

shame if liverpool dont get top 4 not

See what's funny with that mate, and zz for one would **** a brick at the very notion; I don't know one lad who regularly goes away in Europe that wouldn't have been made up had L'pool finished 5th and gone straight into the Europa groups. Oh, we'd of been disappointed like all heck to not be back at Europe's top table in the Champions League. It's where we belong given our heritage and history in Europe. And from the football clubs standpoint, it would have been disastrous. But from a travelling fan POV, the Europa ****** all over the CL. There's some outstandingly boss little trips the Europa you would NEVER experience the CL.

I know as true as I'm typing this, because we'd be exactly the same, and Mancunians are basically cut from a similar cloth to us when you boil it down as much as the two City's like to pretend otherwise; that most all of your regular lads who follow Utd abroad, if Utd lose Wednesday, would be down Wednesday night, but then looking on the flip side Thursday at another boss season of European travel to places you never get to go the big tourney.

Because European footie aways have little to do with the footie in reality and are all about having a boss time away with yer mates drinking great ale, eating better scran, and experiencing a new place/ culture. This will probably sound mad but if you're doing a Euro away for the football you're either a novice, a younger lad or doing it completely wrong. The football is just the excuse and a VERY small part of it. The social aspect and the great memories/ tales that come back are why you do it.

Nah. Just frustrated. Middlesbrough came to play and worked hard so it was always just a patience exercise. First half was pretty non-descript until Gini's goal and then that was that. Was hoping Watford might at lease have Middlesbrough's attitude and put the work in but it sounds the complete opposite.

Could well do without the qualifier in August but it is what it is.
