The Manchester United Thread

Thing that impresses me most with our youngsters is how confetable they are in the Media. Utd really do prepare our kids well for all aspects of football. So level headed and confident doing interviews etc. Gomes youngest ever Utd player :)

shame if liverpool dont get top 4 not

See what's funny with that mate, and zz for one would **** a brick at the very notion; I don't know one lad who regularly goes away in Europe that wouldn't have been made up had L'pool finished 5th and gone straight into the Europa groups. Oh, we'd of been disappointed like all heck to not be back at Europe's top table in the Champions League. It's where we belong given our heritage and history in Europe. And from the football clubs standpoint, it would have been disastrous. But from a travelling fan POV, the Europa ****** all over the CL. There's some outstandingly boss little trips the Europa you would NEVER experience the CL.

I know as true as I'm typing this, because we'd be exactly the same, and Mancunians are basically cut from a similar cloth to us when you boil it down as much as the two City's like to pretend otherwise; that most all of your regular lads who follow Utd abroad, if Utd lose Wednesday, would be down Wednesday night, but then looking on the flip side Thursday at another boss season of European travel to places you never get to go the big tourney.

Because European footie aways have little to do with the footie in reality and are all about having a boss time away with yer mates drinking great ale, eating better scran, and experiencing a new place/ culture. This will probably sound mad but if you're doing a Euro away for the football you're either a novice, a younger lad or doing it completely wrong. The football is just the excuse and a VERY small part of it. The social aspect and the great memories/ tales that come back are why you do it.

Nah. Just frustrated. Middlesbrough came to play and worked hard so it was always just a patience exercise. First half was pretty non-descript until Gini's goal and then that was that. Was hoping Watford might at lease have Middlesbrough's attitude and put the work in but it sounds the complete opposite.

Could well do without the qualifier in August but it is what it is.

watford were utter gash should have been 5 or more down in the first half but you did what you need to do so with a bit of luck you will be in the group stages

It's best defense vs. best offense, but finals are usually tight, so it's advantage Juve I think.

Figures. Good of them. Not as bad as Everton though laying down against 10 men early with their fans more than made up to do that but yer know. When all you have is Liverpool the bitterness overcomes you.

Yer, being seeded now the qualifier with the way the leagues have rounded up around Europe should help a bunch there.

So now onto Wednesday. Feels like 1990 all over again and the Cup Final against Palace.

Just like that final, which then lead onto the Cup Winners success setting Utd up for the start of the PL; Utd win, and you'd presume they'd kick on.

Utd lose, and it could well go the other way going forward.

Two pivotal moments in modern Utd history. Two major finals. 27 years apart.

Interesting and tense night ahead.

CL still ***** all over Europa for me Scouse, no matter how you dress it up.

Yes you can get some great trips, but for every great trip you could equally get an utter ***** one like Israel, Russia or god knows else where some minnow club comes from.
