Just a bit of food for thought. Different players I know but-


So, he scored 11 goals and 8 assists in 41 matches with a **** team.

B.Silva scored 11 goals and 10 assists in 60 matches with full attacking team.


Make that 3 assists ;)

Which tells you nothing, Rashford has 1 assist in 32 prem games this season, yet still one of the best things on the pitch

Perisic defo leaving Inter. Watched the game, was fantastic btw. When subbed got a huge ovation and looked emotional. Then after the game he stood in the centre circle alone with his kid, and waved to all the supporters in the stadium. No let's see if it's us or Chelsea who gets him. Would love him here tbh.
 
Just seen Utd are very close to announcing the new u23s manager. Great stuff! Got a feeling it will be Karanka or this top guy from Chelsea youth set up.


Just finished watching FTD end of season review. Had Jamie Jackson on there from the Guardian. He said that he's been told by people at the club, that Mourinho wants to partner Lukaku with Griezmann. Also mentioned Mourinho likes Dier. IF that's true would be good with those two working together and would certainly add a lot of goals we've been lacking. But hope it doesn't drag on with Everton sounding like there not budging on the price.

Lukaku & Griezmann very close friends with Pogba. If that's not what you call building a team around a player, I'm not sure what is. Be good chemistry :)
 
So anyone any wiser to our targets/ Jose list? I mean we can all pretty much agree on positions, ST, DM, CB, LB, goal scoring No10


STR - Lukaku, Belotti
DM - Fabinho, Dier
CB - Keane, Linderloff, Gimenez
LB - Mendy
10 - Griezmann
Surprise signing - Perisic

Thats the players I think likely to come in for the positions. If we get 6 players from that list would be a very good window and address the areas in our squad we are weakest. Not sure LB is a priority depending on what happens with Darmian or Young. Perisic is the surprise one for me. Maybe Mourinho wants an out and out winger in the squad. Also think he would be a big game player for Mourinho. Super work rate and determination, and would be very good in games when we look to hit teams on the counter.
 
I went over to mates in Leeds once to get the train up to OT the following morning and they said "I'll make you some tea".
I was looking forward to a cuppa and they came out with spaghetti bolognese?
 
Dier would be too expensive, as would Lukaku and they are both not that great.

Forget those two and go for more viable options, they'll be just as good if not better than them.
 
Actually wouldn't mind Lukaku. Proven in the division, ambitious, always in the conversation for Golden Boot in a lesser side, could have a Van Persie type of impact goalswise. Will be overpriced though

No way near as good as RVP honestly in terms of all round game, first touch is like an elephant.

But my issue is, with Lukaku he will no doubt score goals, but at what cost to our all round play to give him service? If we want to be a bit more progressive next season and play with good movement like we do with Rashford up top, we surely need a more dynamic striker.
