Yeah does sound nuts but not totally impossible. Custis saying Carrick and Herrera to be captains next season. All reliable Spanish press running the Morata story now.
 
I think the papers are all getting a little excited again. Let's see what happens in the next few days

Sounds most likely. Not hard to get to the Lukaku story with Rooney etc. And it's quite possible that Riola is putting heat on Chelsea and helping us put heat on Madrid with Morata. Just weird how it came out with so many people all at the same time.

If it does develop mate how would Mourinho fit them in? Change of formation or Morata off Lukaku in some way? Be mental thinking about it spending 150m plus on two STRs. Would definately replace Rooney, Zlatan. A DM and a FB would be a great window or a DMand Ierisic.

Not sure I'd see the point in getting both personally, though it means we have two excellent forwards. I'd lean towards one and getting a second forward who csn play across the forward line. DM is really needed. Think the Weigl story is bollocks though. He's not even fit
 
If it wasn't for Everton copping a World record fee, I'd be quite happy for there to be something in the Lukaku talk.

Sorry for stating the obvious, but why the **** would we want them both? It's needless. One or the other. Use the other money more wisely and invest on another position of need. We don't need two £60m+ strikers this season.
 
If we spend £100m on Lukaku I seriously give up. Absolutely bonkers and needless.

im beginning to suspect the morata deal is dying hence why the lukaku interest has seemingly intensified.surely we dont need both as you say
 
And the whole point with Everton and Rooney and Lukaku is not to spend 100m on him.
 
Well BBC Simon Stones saying we are defo in for Lukaku and Morata. And a well respected journo from Belgium said the Lukaku deal is on again after earlier interest due to a offer being made in the Rooney deal. And we won't be paying 100m
 
Possible 60+ games a season. Injuries. Suspensions. Fixture congestion. IF we could somehow pull off both, and as it stands I'm treating it as a very big fabricated IF, then being able to rotate the pair without being a drop off in quality, that's nothing to snub our noses at. Think how the Benzema/Morata rotating treated Madrid last season.

As long as we do address the DM area, and possibly one or two others, then why shouldn't we use our resources to sign two top strikers if that's what Mourinho wants?
 
Neither will be happy on the bench though... it's a recipe for disaster. Much better signing someone like Chicharito if you want a good backup striker to Morata/Lukaku.
