I still think Perisic will happen, that will solve the winger part. DM, by reports Dier isn't happening (thank god), so we'll turn to Weigl.

Cant see him moving for at least another year yet, especially after the injury. Think he'll give Dortmund one more before the scramble starts for him

If we're going for him we must be somewhat confident, I'd happily have Fabinho, seems perfect, no idea why we don't go all in for him.
 
Weigl is out injured until late september it seems and he also extended his contract in December so he's contracted to Dortmund for another 4 years. But we can all hope, he's a great player!

Agreed. Surprised Pep isnt in the mix for Weigl if there is even a chance he'll move though. Supposedly wnated him as his first signing (rumour bullshit no doubt) - but looks a very Pep ish DM
 
Yeah can see Perisic coming. We will pay more than we want by about 10m but if he's number 1 on Mourinho list for that position then so be it. Then for midfield will be Fabinho, Naingollan, Weigl imo.

Raiola and Rooney factors were both pivotal in him going to United over Chelsea ultimately. Raiola because he already had a good relationship with United and knew he will get higher fees from them. Rooney because it allowed United to work around Everton's outrageous demands for Lukaku by offering them a former player they really wanted.

I would be fine with Lukaku as a Chelsea player as I would wih Morata although I know some on here like Subtle strongly feel Lukaku is completely unsuited for Chelsea.

Got to say I was very surprised Lukaku was Conte's first choice, not that I didn't think he'd do well for you, moreso because I always believed Morata was the better player for him.

I think there were some reports earlier that Lukaku was a move by Chelsea board whereas Conte wanted Morata himself or failing that Belotti. So much BS going around it's hard to know what is true and whats not.

Still Conte shot himself and Chelsea badly in the leg with Costa and heavily damaged Chelsea's negotiating power in terms of clubs looking at Costa, but also clubs where they are looking for a striker as those clubs know how badly Chelsea need the player.

Agreed. Thats why I feel that he is truly 'fuming' as some reports have led to believe, its very rich from him considering that stupid text message he sent. Also agree on the first part. It seems like many newspapers ars just guesssing completely. Last summer, Conte was dead set against Lukaku and wanted Morata at all costs. Now suddenly he is more than happy to pay any money to get Lukaku and has not shown any interest in Morata.

My own guess ... Chelsea board and Emeleano pushed very hard for Lukaku and convinced Conte to make him their top target. Conte has always liked Lukaku just not as much as Morata. If we get Morata, it will mark the end of a courtship that has lasted for years.

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku was arrested in Los Angeles last week following a noise complaint - and will appear in a US court on 2 October.
Lukaku, who is set to have a medical at Manchester United before a £75m move, was given a misdemeanour citation after officers responded to five other noise complaints at the same location.
A Beverly Hills police statement said Lukaku was released at the scene following the incident on 2 July.
