How? They play in the same position. Martial needs a consistent run of games like 2015/16, not another limbo season.

Something I'm hoping Mourinho will trust to give him once he sorts out DM and possibly another FB. Less tracking back, and more shackles off him
 
i think martial is far too predictable on the left.If he goes wide it fizzles out as he has no left peg and when he darts inside,which he can be very effective at,the opposition are ready for that as it what he does naturally.I just feel martial needs to work on his game if hes to succedd here.Perisisc is less predictable imo

Martial does like to cut in on his stronger foot, but name me a wrong-sided winger that doesn't? Can we all stop pretending that he can't go on the outside, it's a myth.

Cant see that tbh. There's a reason Mourinho really wants Peresic. Think he and Martial will share the load pretty even this season.
 
I'll lay good money Joseph has seen him less outside of cut-ups than most.

But that wouldn't do for following's sake.

One big takeaway from that, we might not have been the worst team in Europe for finishing chances, a lot of sitters went begging in that. Got to be frustrating as a winger when you hit in a great cross and someone fails to even make contact with the ball

i never said he cant go down the line,its just he runs into trouble most of the time due to a lack of left foot

Anyone see Rooneys goal today? Absolute cracker from about 35yrds! Looked reall lean and in good shape compared to normal. Even looked quick across the pitch.
 
Castles saying Mourinho has sanctioned the deal to sign Zlatan to a new contract in Jan. Ending his chase for a second STR this window. Also says he has told Woodward to get him 3 more players a DM, FB and a winger who can play both sides comfortabely. Also confident of Griezmann being ready for next Summer.

happy with that,we already have martial,rashford and lukaku who can play in the one striker position.Think perisic deal will be done so its down to whether we can get nainggolan(always spell that wrong!)or another.dier wont come and there arent that many options tbh.

Happy with too if true. Zlatan coming back will give us another option up top leaving Martial to play in his best role for me out wide left. Also meaning the loss of Rashford or Lukaku won't be such a big hit with Zlatan back. Not to mention his experience and influence in the dressing room will be huge! And if we get a DM, FB and a winger would be a great window.
