That's the reason I thought he was using Smalling & Lindelof, the Supercup. Doubt he'll get rid of either of Jones or Smalling tbh unless he brings one in. Nice to have 5 CB's that you're confident of playing with (if we're including Tuanzebe), make that 6 after Xmas with Rojo returning. As we all know, injuries can be a *****. 1-2 injuries in one area and it doesn't be long looking very bare.

Yeah agree. Will most likely look at it again end of the coming season. And then Tuanzebe will move up in the pecking order.
 
We're in a very good state with CB's tbh, like the GK area. As when fit, all are very capable. OK, Smalling has been exposed for a lot less of a player than I thought he was under LVG, but is still a sound 3rd/4th option if the overall system is solid. Not the tidiest on the ball, not the most elegant, and is prone to the odd error.. but is quick, strong, decent in the air and puts his body on the line (something not all CB's do)

You're missing the point. United gave him the chance this summer. He said no. It wasn't the club being stubborn. De Gea no longer wants to move this summer
 
they are seemingly happy with navas in goal,plus are fully concentrating on chasing mbappe.ddg going nowhere this summer
 
Don't buy any of this Bale nonsense, he would of known all summer that Madrid were after M'Bappe and he has said he is happy. I just can't see that miraculously changing and him suddenly wanting a move. Also another thing that makes this hard to believe is Madrid and United even doing a deal with each other.

Not saying it's going to happen but it could. Someone will have to make way for Mbappe. Benzema new deal and Zidane favourite. Ronaldo enough said. Fans demanding and chanting for Isco at matches last season, to play instead of Bale. Plus a new contract. Bale not playing in the final despite declaring himself fit publicly. And seen a few reports about his wife wanting back in Britain. Then the money we can offer! Madrid will sell if we pay there price.

Even if that's the case, Madrid selling Bale to United, they'll want like £200m after the way we've dealt with them over De Gea! :P

cant see it happening,the relationship between the clubs appears to have soured to say the least
 
They aren't going to ask for 200m.

The deal isn't anywhere near straightforward and tbh the conversation is irrelevant until Mbappe moves
 
I know this will make Mike pull his hair out because it will seem like another meltdown. But I'd actually rather us go for Neymar than Bale.
 
Don't think it would be 200m. Money overides the relationship between the 2 clubs. Plus we didn't do any wrong in the DDG move anyway. They fecked that up the first time. The second time DDG didn't want the move for that reason. Won't be a problem if Bale is put up for sale. Madrid aren't stupid to have a player of that value and wage unhappy at the club.
 
Just seen the highlights of The u18s beating Lincoln City. And even though not playing for much of the match. Milan Baars looks like a really impressive direct skilful tricky, real pacey winger like Chong. Scored a beauty!
