We said the exact same before this season! :P
Sorry that was defo a **** up by me. Meant will get plenty of mins this season! ;)

What a day! **** all to do at work except think about Utd being back in the CL. Expecting a fantastic atmosphere. Heard the club are planning something big with flags and ****. Get home just in time to watch the youth team kick off there campaign at 3 on MUTV. As soon as that's finished straight into the build up for the CL proper on MUTV. Quick switch over for the build up on BT. Then away we go. Got the cold ones ready in the fridge before work :)

I know you'd rather have had him here, but if that opening hour was anything to go by, Valencia will be a great place for him.
Will most likely replace Carrick and Young next season. Don't know if Zlatan or Fellaini will get extensions again?

As for tonight would go back to 4231

DDG
Valencia, Smalling, Lindelöf, Shaw
Matic, Pogba
Mata, Mky, Martial
Lukaku

No way is Shaw starting.

People do have some mad, often unrealistic expectations of how quickly guys are ready to be brought back huh? (Not just in this thread but from most teams fans.). And into the vitally important, first home group game at the very top level no less. A WORLDS away from 23's action.

Two or three times Shaw's been mooted from different posters lately.

Bench against Palace (think they are next), Start in EFL, start next PL, providing he plays well and comes through unscathed.

I feel your excitement for the CL mate. NOTTIN' beats it. Home games are brilliant. Seville fans starting to tip up in the City today and tomorrow town will be absolutely bouncing with them in good natured solidarity. Completely different vibe the City a European game. Can't beat it.

But as regards Utd fans and their 'attempts' at doing flags ..... I hope it's better than the **** poor shambles the Europe League which got this natural and rightful response among the absolute hilarity. :P But to make it worse, that corner was just as bad the league game last year! (Which that looks to be looking at it.).

NSFW. (First 20 seconds or so.).

Now THIS is how you do flags on a European night! ;).

Hope Utd isn't planning on giving out plastic flags like Chelsea do to try create something. That is cringe worthy.

Enjoy the game.

Most of them have likely not even watched the games in the u23s tbh. He defo looks ready. Not pulling anything going into tackles, and looks fit as anything. Maybe the importance of the game will go against him. But he looks fine fitness wise. And not feeling/showing any affects mentally.

Still a massive step up in every respect after being out so long. I'd wager if he was thinking about easing him back the team anytime soon, the League Cup next Wednesday would be the one he'd do it in.

Everton next mate at Home.

Interesting. As utterly shambolic as Everton are (and man is it turning nasty for Koeman in this City from the Blues after his very poor spending this summer leaving them with a totally unbalanced squad which is showing on the park. Not many trust him. Not many are behind him. Evertonians at their finest haha); Rooney must be a good bet for a goal or two the weekend.

Need to look at the prices on that.

Exactly. I can see him being on the bench at best given Darmain's horror show. But i'll definitely raise eyebrows if he was to start. Surely Blind will start
