Turned it on in the last 10 mins which is great, complete opposite to last season.

Odd from Everton however, after the transfer window I thought they made some great signings but it just hasn't worked out for them so far
 
Just a weird-*** game. Definitely deserve the win, I'd say 2-0 / 3-1 the fair scoreline.

3 games, 3 wins, 10 scored, 0 conceded. Old Trafford is NOT your draw factory this season.
 
On another note, how classy was Matic once again in the middle of the park? Missed Pogba's runs, final 3rd link up, & creativity; it's not a question, but Matic oozed in class in what he does.

It's the classic buying all the same players/ not the ones you require for the system you insist on playing and leaving your squad completely unbalanced.

They have better quality, if inexperienced, options from their quality U-23's side in a few of those roles.

*Edit* When you're having to bring Niasse back into the first team picture because you're so short of CF's it say's it all.

Tbf I've rarely ever seen huge fees spent shrewdly when used to sign numerous players.

Spurs with the Bale money, Liverpool with the Suarez money, now Everton with Lukaku's. All left a bit to be desired
 
Thought the subs were great again today. Especially Lingard and Herrera. Brought us back control of the game! 4-0 with no Pogba and still Shaw, Rojo and Zlatan to come back (6)
 
Scoreline flattered but a win is a win, don't ever complain at that.

Rashford had an off day, he is perfectly entitled to. Everyone in our team was pretty decent.

It was a great time to play Everton, as predicted.
 
Lukaku summed it up perfectly. " the defence and GK are playing well, and gives us confidence to score, and get results."

Jose also saying about Pogba he doesn't know it's 12 weeks so how do you media know :)

They'd already spent over £80 million prior to the Lukaku sale. They spent the early part the window crowing about how the 'Merseyside Millionaires' (STOP laughing at the back) where the new force in town.

With no intention of selling him unless the £100 million fee was met they stuck to.

Koeman and Walsh, who's as big a problem in recruitment as anyone, just spent the TV money terribly.
 
Know it's early but what we needed to happen from last season. With Mky, Rashford, Martial all needing to step up with goals and assists looking good at the min. Goals alround the pitch atm.

I was crying out for Herrera in 2nd half, we needed that energy.. The game looked closer to 1-1 than 4-0 at that point haha. XD
 
Definitely TOD. As Neville also pointed out, nice to see Lukaku look for the pass there instead of the glory; some, particularly from the blue half of merseyside, will tell you he's an unintelligent, non-team player, with a poor touch.

Is his link-up underrated? Can't think of many (bar Kane and Firmino) who does it better in the league as centre forwards? He has a very unfair and misguided reputation of being a donkey in this side of the game

I think you are overselling pass, 3 defenders in front, Miki off to the side it was glaringly obvious I'd have seen it.

His linkup play is underrated due to the amount of times he loses the win/ball into him and hold up so doesn't get to do it. Most of the criticism that Shearer launched at Benteke last night can be level at Rom when hes not on it, or anonymous in games for the most part. He should be bullying teams with he back to goal for his size and power, as well as getting on the end of stuff in behind.

When he does he's unstoppable, and then you see games/halves where you think "what is the ******* point of you, do him you big *******!"

Aguero/Jesus/Kane/Salah/Sanchez/Firmino/Mane/Hazard/Morata/Costa you can almost put any of them if/when they play on a front 3/2/1 have a better pass/vision on the ball than him... but he doesnt need it, he's there to be the focal point, the rest can look for the fancy pass, if hes ever hitting a pass over 10yrds, someone ****** up. His pass completion is 70%, only De Gea is lower in the squad.

The final ball was poor a fair few times by most of the front line today, even Mata missed a couple that would have put Rom in acres on his own in the box... odd game, couple of decent saves early in the 2nd from Dave. Everton concede a 2nd and then fold up. Koeman next for the chop? Who the **** would take the job?

Only 4 of those names you mentioned are strikers that I haven't already though. I'd argue his link up play is as effective as Aguero's or Morata's. Aguero's just looks better because he's small & nippy, not a 6'3, 15 stone black man (truth hurts, as Mike shared on here a while back, Pogba doesn't get recognized enough for the technical side of his game, just 'powerful'). Costa isn't a bad shout, holds it up and links up as well if not better than Lukaku, but he doesn't exist in the league anymore for me. Jesus looks a classy all round striker though.

Most are wingers to be fair, its only the 433 system that puts em on the front line.

He's a poor passer but who the **** needs him to do that with the midfield/winger combinations around him. You just go make CB's cower lad, we'll do the football stuff. :D

Really, who doesnt rate Pogba's techincal game? At Juve it was what was most impressive. Its the power/pace side of his game i thought needed the work, but i expected a "2014 Toure-esque, all power no bollox Box to Box Midfield" role, as it is he's playing rolls royce football swanning about now Matic is here, killin teams.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't say he's a quality passer, but his little sharp one touch lay-off's, the awareness where players are around him etc. goes underrated.
