The Manchester United Thread

Mourinho says Zlatan won’t start but will be on the bench against Basel. Bailly will be back for Brighton at the weekend. Had worries about the state of the pitch in Basel. Phil Jones defo our against Basel and Brighton. Says he wants to stay in England for many many years. Also said he was not informed about Jones having injections.

Hope to see quite a few changes tonight. Now qualification is a point away. And a dodgy pitch also.

DDG
Darmian, Smalling, Lindelöf, Shaw
Herrera
Fellaini, McTominay
Miki, Rashford, Lingard

Kick off 3U19s: #MUFC v Basel (A) - Fojticek, O’Connor, Ercolani, Warren, R. Williams, Tanner, Garner, Hamilton, Gomes, Boonen, Bohui. Subs: Carney, Barrett, Kenyon, Galbraith, Sang, Baars, Burkart. #UYL

U19s just gone 1-0 down. Honestly worst they’ve played this season. 30 min left.

Now 2-0 down after giving away a peno. The older players Hamilton, Sang, Ercolani, Tanner have really let the younger ones down!
Just pulled one back from a corner Tyrell Warren the scorer.

Hearing pitch is dreadful tonight. Main objective is to avoid injuries

Yeah seen a few tweets going round about it. Even Mourinho mentions it in his presser. Wouldn’t take any risks! u19s finished 2-1 btw. Sang and Hamilton want getting rid of ASAP!

Well deserved for Basel. Terrible, terrible second half. No one half arsed.

Can’t afford to rest anyone for the last game now. That performance has really irked me. Nobody showed anything in the second half. No desire, Commitment, Effort nothing!

You're still guaranteed qualification though, you won the H2H with Basel.

EDIT: Scratch that... there's a small chance there could actually be a three-way tie, in which case GD will be the tie-breaker.

Least Blind admits he cocked up for the goal. Him and Darmian should be gone in the Summer.

To be fair Blind just isn't a LB. Yes he can do a job there with his defensive nous, but just don't think it's his naturally best position. Best centrally. Too immobile. Whilst we could blame Blind, why does Jose not throw Luke Shaw into this game tonight? What better opportunity does Jose see better than this to reintegrate a player?

Think we can forget about Shaw having any sort of career at Utd. Been fit for ages. Hardly making the bench or playing at all. And now not even playing for the u23s either. FB area needs sorting this SUMMER priority imo. Then CM. Yeah agree Blinds not a LB but he’s played there enough and experienced enough not to let that happen to him. Rojo my only positive tonight overall.

Get Fabinho, 2 birds.
