3 points. Another Lukaku goal. Thought Herrera and Rashford were poor bar Rashfords cross. More mins for McTominey who showed good match awareness. Rojo never a LB. Matic good again. Thought Lingard started well then faded as the match went on. Hope Tony V is ok!

Oh yeah what was the red doing while Barry clearly stamped on DDG foot and Hgazi clearly kicked him from behind at the same time. FA should look at that. No intention to play the ball bu either.

Liverpool clawing back that GD, almost scored as many as you lot now.. :p

Just watching Lazio highlights. Wow Savic what a player scored 2 goals to drag his team back from being 2 down. Just a class talent such a natural all round CM has the lot. Gonna go for big money in the Summer no doubt! We had scouts there watching him again tonight.

Spurs didn't play with risk. Spurs didn't play, and then they lost their heads. As bad as our approach was, theirs was even worse.

Stupid, petulant, and rudderless. They should have finished with 9 men and it didn't really look like they had a gameplan once they conceded the first goal

Like I said, I didn't actually see the game, and based on Spurs' form since their win against Madrid, I'm inclined to believe you.

My point wasn't that Spurs played well. My point was that to suggest the only way to beat Guardiola is by parking 10 behind the ball and hoping for a counter or set piece, is wrong in my opinion. Not saying it can't work from time to time, but honestly, teams that take the game to them have a better chance of succeeding imo, just with the obvious caveat that if they don't get it absolutely right, they will get slaughtered.

Well seeing as they convincingly beat Spurs, Arsenal, Pool and others who tried to play against them and press them or press them I wouldn’t agree with that. The last 4-5 games where teams have sat in a deep block and frustrated them have had more success, despite losing to super late winners, deflected goals or set pieces seems to be a better way. But at the end of the day City have a better squad/ team than anyone in the league and are just playing better fullstop. Not much to do about that kudos to them and Pep atm.

Just curious for peoples thoughts what would be a better system next season?-

433

DDG
Valencia-Bailly-Lindelöf-Sandro
Matic
Pogba-Savic
Malcom-Lukaku-Martial

4231

DDG
Valencia-Bailly-Lindelof-Sandro
Matic-Pogba
Malcom-Ozil-Martial
Lukaku

Prefer the look 433 myself. Gives us better balance and control of games and possession. While still having the pace to be devastating on the counter. Also don’t like the genuine lack of width with the 4321 this season and how we Really struggle when teams start attacking us. Suppose José being a pragmatic manager could use both. Just wanted people thoughts.

With the right players I prefer Mou's 4-2-3-1, but with the player at his disposal I prefer his 5-3-2 system.

Clearly better than rashford & Miki & Mata looking at ToD lineups. :p
Well it’s not hard to be better than Miki tbf :( Definitely a better winger than Rashford.

Hes is a great talent. Very left footed! Can turn on a dime and leave players for dead. Very good close control and a hammer of a left foot shot on him. And as quick if not quicker than Martial especially over short distances. Good crosser but not great.

U23s drew against Leicester. Gribbin with a good chip finish. Him RoShaun Williams who was back from injury. And Tosin Kehinde were easily Utds best players.

Utd holding on for the win would have been better like but I'll happily take the point. Keep's L'pool's 23's 5 points clear of Leicester the top the league going into the mid-season break. :).

So basically a less proven version of Mahrez? Let's just sign Mahrez then.
