The Manchester United Thread

Mourinho on Sanchez:"The only word I can say is he is a phenomenal player I like, apart from that Arsenal player and I feel I shouldn't say much more than this."

Mourinho: “What we believe is there are some players in the football world if you have the chance to sign them in January, March or July, you have to try, and that's it." #MUFC #MCFC #AFC #Sanchez

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic is injured, or is not totally happy with his condition,” Jose says. “The date for him to be back in training is around the end of January or the beginning of February, so let's hope his feelings are better and we have him as soon as possible.” #MUFC

Jose on Tuanzebe: "We are delaying decision until end of transfer window. If no fresh injuries and Bailly close to being back, good for Axel to go on loan."

Mourinho on Dubai, "Very good, he facilities were unbelievable, nice weather, three days of really good training, we developed things which we can't do when we have no time to train."

Lol that Gary Neville's Twitter feed is hilarious. He whines so much about City's spending, the lack self-awareness in the guy, when United have also spent enough to rebuild Old Trafford, destroy it and rebuild again.

Then again, perhaps I should not be expecting self-awarness from a bloke who thought that pressing some buttons on a touch screen in a scripted TV show makes him capable enough to go to foreign country without knowing the language and manage a top flight club.

The part where I agree with Neville is where he questions the money or glory nonsense from *******, as if Sanchez hasn't agreed a 250,000 pound a week deal in principle with city. And City were willing to pay 60m in the summer

U18s Vs Sunderland
Fojticek, Laird, Tanner, Dunne, O'Connor, Galbraith, Chong, Puigmal, Mellor, Levitt, Baars.
Subs: Bernard, Thompson, McGhee, Ramazani, Greenwood.

Gomes promoted to the u23s full time now. More u18s will be as more u23s go out on loan this window.

Hate to be that guy, but the difference is at United the money we spend, is our own money.

RE Sanchez, he's a world class player, age puts me off a bit tho.

We've been turning a profit for nearly 4 years now, debt free. lol.

He's only 29, you could easy still gets 4-5 years out of a winger/forward minimum.

Yeah the money thing is well old. And I'd take Sanchez in a freaking heartbeat

U18s: FT - Sunderland 1 #MUFC 2. Chong’s second goal of the game – a composed finish after a fine through-ball by substitute Ramazani – seals a deserved away win for McKenna’s youngsters. The home side had Howard sent off. Ramanzani and especially Greenwood, changed the game after coming on. What’s more impressive is that Greenwood played and scored for the u16s win earlier in the day. Chong MOTM! Incredible how he’s recovered and returned from a serious injury! Lairds passfor Chong second goal was world class!

Since returning after 11 months out injured Tahith Chong has started 5 games and made 1 sub appearance for the u18/19s & scored 4 goals and won 2 penalties and 4 assists

This is why I separate City project from all other "oil" clubs. They are actually doing a really good job at creating a self sustained club.

That's odd, I was under the impression that money you spend is from Adidas, Chevrolet and tractors. The money they spend is from oil rigs. I don't get where this bizarre sense of moral high ground is coming from. Aside from match day revenue and rewards from competitions, all of the money in all of the clubs in all of the leagues in all of the countries is coming from outside sources.

Fill up your cars, take the bus. walk & cycle nowhere... we need a new DMC next season as well please, TNX.

Fosu Mensah man of the match again for Crystal Palace. Put in a couple of really good crosses, won 7 tackles, 1 interception and 3 clearances and had more touches than any other Palace player.

Can't separate any of the clubs owned by whole States with such horrendous human rights issues personally.

I was for applauding City's marvellous season early until the torturous Abu Dhabi regime came to light. And **** me for naively ever thinking they were different from most of the other UAE states. Just doesn't sit right with me personally congratulating them for the good work here when what happens out there underpins it all.

Begs the question how there's not more stringent regulations covering all this over here with football club ownership but that's a whole other debate.

Personally, I now class City with the Qatarie disgraces at PSG. Not very high at all.

Just watching some Palace highlights and TFM for me needs to be here n cat season getting plenty of games to take over from Tony V.
