That's odd, I was under the impression that money you spend is from Adidas, Chevrolet and tractors. The money they spend is from oil rigs. I don't get where this bizarre sense of moral high ground is coming from. Aside from match day revenue and rewards from competitions, all of the money in all of the clubs in all of the leagues in all of the countries is coming from outside sources.

Fosu Mensah man of the match again for Crystal Palace. Put in a couple of really good crosses, won 7 tackles, 1 interception and 3 clearances and had more touches than any other Palace player.

Can't separate any of the clubs owned by whole States with such horrendous human rights issues personally.
I was for applauding City's marvellous season early until the torturous Abu Dhabi regime came to light. And **** me for naively ever thinking they were different from most of the other UAE states. Just doesn't sit right with me personally congratulating them for the good work here when what happens out there underpins it all.
Begs the question how there's not more stringent regulations covering all this over here with football club ownership but that's a whole other debate.
Personally, I now class City with the Qatarie disgraces at PSG. Not very high at all.

Just watching some Palace highlights and TFM for me needs to be here n cat season getting plenty of games to take over from Tony V.
And yet, Liverpool didn't seem to have a problem with taking 50 million of dirty money from a Russian criminal via Torres transfer, and I don't quite recall United fans protesting taking blood money from PSG by selling them Di Maria.
I'd be quite all right if every club was owned by upstanding classy gentlemen who donate to charity and wear top hats to work. But let's be serious here, all of this "my club is more moral than your club" is pure bollocks, because with the right amount of money no club is that bothered what the source is.

With the Chinese Government holding a 13% stake in City that's not really a road you want to go down either.
But if you so wish the protests were applauded and the ties to anything connected to the Chinese Government condemned the L'pool thread yesterday. I'd love all questionable sponsorship to be cancelled with oppressive regimes. I'd be joining in protests as were planned in earlier interest from the Arab World before FSG, similar to how we brought down Hicks and Gillet if the club was owned by a State with such an appalling human rights record.
I personally just don't see how that can be understated and accepted but that's just my opinion and view of the World.

Pretty much. Between Abramovich, the Quataris, and the various Chinesse attempting to enter football, there's been probably north of $10 billion pumped into football over the last decade and eventually spread throughout the leagues. Everybody's dirty you just have to track it far enough.

But again, just my personal opinion on how I'd feel being run by these States.
Is it ethical? Probably not. Every cent is dirty. Every pound is blood covered. Your government is oppressing so many people worldwide. Yet no one is doing anything about it. Because you're comfortable in your cozy chair in front of your big monitor. If you want to change the world, start changing your self.

This in a nutshell. I could track down dirt money in football going back a 100 years if I was bothered enough. Anyone who ever made a deal with Juventus took money from a family that was manufacturing weapons to Nazis, and when Owen went to Madrid, 'Pool took money from club that owes it's wealth to a top bloke general Franco.
But what does all of this accomplish really? **** all. Pay your taxes, help a grandma cross a street, don't be on your phone in the cinema and you'll change the world for the better, far more than all of this bickering ever will.

All a Worlds away from being owned by such a State where 75% of the population that are not citizens are basically slaves for the regime. And treated appallingly as such.
How is that so hard to differentiate? When did this merge into being about money per se? People are arguing completely different things here to my own personal feelings on City's ownership and their human rights issues.

Bit harsh to say 'your government'..... every country with money oppresses those that don't have as much.
Money is the root of all evil, undoubtedly.
Personally, I'd love to help out those in need more than I do, but you just can't rely on them getting it these days because even charities are often corrupt as they come.
I'd love Sanchez anyway Mike, just a pity it most likely won't happen as he wants City imo.
