Wow Casey Stoney has been appointed as Utds Women’s manager. That’s a great appointment imo!!

Ed Woodward reacts to United Women application
“The board is delighted that the FA has approved the application. The new women’s team will build on the success of the Girls’ Regional Talent Club and have the same philosophy as all Manchester United sides, creating a pathway from academy to first team.

“We will be making some exciting announcements in the coming days and weeks. Starting a professional team from scratch is challenging but rewarding and we will make every effort to provide the support and experience for the new women’s team to be successful and to uphold the fine traditions of our great club.”

Will train at the Cliff after it’s gone through a complete redevelopment. Club taking this seriously and rightly so!

Liverpool finished Fabinho deal for around 45 Million. That's some brilliant piece of business. Just wondering why we didn't go for him.. considering we need an upgrade on RB and we need another DM, seemed like a no brainer..

Gutted we didn't sign Fabinho. As said above, covered Matic & Valencia, who will need resting & phasing out/gain a reduced role respectively.

But it's pretty weird how City & United have always been undecided to go for him, despite him begging to be come and got.

Well, Fred and Milinkovic-Savic would still be the dream world. Lining up alongside Pogba/Matic would be fantastic. But realistically speaking, it'll most likely be Fred-Matic-Pogba next season. Although, we need a RB much more importantly. And a LB (I would love for Shaw to make a mark here, but seems Mou doesn't trust him).

Think we were interested. But he wasn’t likely being sat on the bench. Being back up to Matic who will start most games. And he’s not that much better going forward than Tony V at RB. Should get Sandro and Sidibe for FBs.

IS Sidibe any good? Don't know too much about him. On a more nostalgic note, I'd love it if we got Rafael back, even as rotation to Valencia; I always hated LvG for letting him go.

Both had other areas to address first, If Chelsea hadn't handed over Matic, he'd be next.

That good huh? Honestly never really watched him play. Just what I'm reading on him today.

The main stumbling block I'd guess is both Jardin and Ryboloviev were consistently adamant he was the one player they wouldn't be selling at all costs last summer regardless of the British press pushing it. Which attests to just how important he was to that side.

Happy their resolve has been broken this window. Another long-term deal they've been working on all through last year by all accounts.

He's good, but at the time Matic became available and United decided to buy him. United had 3 years to make a move, yet it never happen. He's a defensive midfielder and did not play RB for a long time. Even when he did, his output was similar to Valencias.

He'll do well for Lpool and their fanatic football.

I don't really know what will really improve us next season other than a new manager (like Sarri *cough*) to go and put a real style into this team. I just feel we could sign Bale, Fred., Savic and Sergio Ramos but we will still be stifled under Mourinho.

I really want to be optimistic, but I just can't get up for next season. Yes I know Mourinho will be here next season, but will we realistically improve much from this season? I can't see it. Statistically was a good season in the league, but we have the same pitfalls as always as a Mou side.

However I just hope that Mourinho now doesn't turn us into some short-term dynasty with a team that will need to totally revamp under next manager.

I feared this summer he was just going to buy more players with only a few years left like Sanchez and Matic. But with the first signing of Fred it's a good start, hopefully I am wrong and he is at least going to attempt to give some longevity with some of his signings.

I like Sidibe. Reminds me a lot of Walker. Great going forward but there’s an error in him at the back every now and then. Oppo defenders wouldn’t be worried anymore about having the shins broke by a Tiny V special. Sidibe can actually cross the ball.

Think things will be different next season. Mourinho has started adopting the Fergie way of running things. He will pick the team and have say in the tactics. But McKenna and Carrick will be in control of training sessions attacking drills etc. Like Phelan and Quieroz use to do.
