How many legends can you see....

Two Robson and Hughes (although if Big Norm hadn't had the injuries he would have been up there). I remember watching this lot as a kid.

Hes done the complete 85/86 first division - John Barnes at 21 still at Watford up for grabs... #Amazing.

Lol good luck with that as if I remember rightly City were totally **** in the mid 1980's.

i could raid all the future stars I know, but the teams broke...

Irwin (19) - Leeds
Parker (18) - Fulham
Wright (19) - Palace
Keown (18) - Arsenal
Cottee (18) - West Ham

We're so ****. :p

Story on Robson from last year .....

Ran into him the hotel bar Moscow waiting for a mate to come down who was staying there. (Steve Mono. Lad who stickered Mourinho up with justice stickers that same trip but I digress ..... ) Real sound fella’. Happily sat and had a few bevvies with us. Somethkng he said I never knew shocked me. He was convinced he was signing for us from West Brom. All but done until Albion insisted on£ 1.5 million and L’pool would only go to £ 1.3. And Utd, always big spenders even back then, would.

I mean we didn’t overly need him like but it was real interesting to learn as none of that came out the time. I never knew we were even interested. Heck of a player like. (When fit.). Lost for the sake of £200 grand.

Bet et there’s loads of stories like that of players careers that could have been wholly different.

Also had some boss tales about L’pool and Utd lads regularly out bevying that time through the week but that’s not for a family thread haha.

Gonna put in a left-field nomination for Graham Hogg - only played 60+ times, always seemed to deflect a shot into our goal, but that night in 1984, vs Barcelona, had Maradona in his pocket all night!

Confirmed that Gomes hasn’t gone on tour with the youth squads and will be traveling to the states with the first team.

Bit more news on the youth side.
Will Vint added to @ManUtd u-18 intake: Meanwhile, Will Vint, an American-born midfielder, is also part of the Under-18s group and will travel with the rest of the squad to Austria next week for a pre-season training camp. U16 we signed last season very highly rated being promoted early.

@ManUtd u19s will play SV Guntamatic Ried on Friday, 13th of July at 18. In Austria.

What has happened to our transfer business (or lack of seemingly)? Unless I've missed some things because I've been following World Cup mainly past month or so. So far we only have Fred and Diogo Dalot.

The market has slowed right down. Expect chaos when the world cup finishes

Yeah I think activity will pick up soon. Although to be fair, only a few somewhat unknown talents have announced themselves during the World Cup.

I can only think of Pavard, Bentancour, Golovin, Mina, and FM legend Mario Fernandes.

Blue mate was saying today how Arsenal are getting there deals done swiftly and the major clubs aren’t through the WC.

Completely neglecting to add that Arsenal are currently shopping at a completely different level to anyone else so can compete with the likes of Everton and West ‘Am for the Europa League players.

The market will pick up again as soon as the WC is over. Not least as clubs have madly agreed on this early end to the window leaving a month or there about a to get everything boxed off. That and the early start to the season, coupled with all the WC later stage players missing the first few games, or being nowhere near ready, will doubtless force a lot of clubs hands to dip into the market to compensate.

#MUFC U23s midfielder @EthanHamilton98 becomes the latest young Red to commit his future to the club

RoShaun Williams will be next apparently. Both going on the tour also. With Gomes, Chong, Garner, Mitchell, TFM, Tuanzebe, Periera and also fantastic Greenwood going also. Can’t wait to see how they all handle the step up :)
