Unfair to ask like this. Comparing multi billion industry with common folk...
Football lives and breads on fans and community. I have people around me forced to go home as work is shut down and having reduced pay. Yes the clubs also will have big loss in revanue etc, but they are much better backed up for this.

I bet you 90% of the people never donated a single dollar in their lives, yet they feel entitled to "educate" others how they should DONATE. I'm sorry, but giving up 1$ from your own is a great thing in my eyes, regardless how much money you have.
Tyton might have been donating as well, I have no ways of knowing that, but he can buzz off with that prickish comment. What gives him right to ask, let alone tell someone how much they should donate?

Whilst 50K each doesn't sound much in the scheme of things (Liverpool contributed 40K by the way and no one is complaining about them) for foodbanks it is a huge amount it can mean the difference between a family going hungry or being able to heat the house. On top of this 'piddling' amount there are families getting paid wages by the clubs when there is no work for them. Do they have to do that no they could look at it and just say not my problem but they didn't they are helping not sitting on their fat a***s whining about not being able to make more money from a group of well paid lads kicking around a bag of air.

Great news that Dillon Hoogerwerf has signed his first pro deal. Seriously good STR. Very much reminds me of Tevez ( well the good parts ) tenacious never leaves the defenders at piece. Short and stocky with a low centre of gravity with a bit of edge about him.

Johan Gudagno also signed his pro contract with us. Highly rated GK played at all age groups at international level so far. Usually ahead of his year.

The fact both clubs are contributing in a collaborative effort to replace lost foodbank revenue from no collections at games should be applauded. Not mocked.

As disgraceful a blight on 2020 Britain as it is (one of the richest Country's on Earth), 1.6 million people in this country rely on foodbanks to eat regularly. Many hard working families included in that. And the contribution from the 'Fans Supporting Foodbanks' initiative is a massive part of keeping those less fortunate feed. The North Liverpool foodbank alone rely's on 25% of its intake from fans generosity on a matchday. So to have ANYTHING contributed now, let alone that drop matched by clubs and individuals, is invaluable through these dark times.

Hunger doesn't wear colours.

I just did a tour shopping and running chores for the elderly in my family so they don't have to break the quarantine, but the media here are busy writing about prince Charles. And I'm not even in England. So forgive me if I'm not in awe of celebrities and mega-corporations doing bare minimum to help while getting all the media coverage.

That's crazy, we have state and/or city subsidized diners for that. Breakfas:t 3 scrambled egggs 4 zlotys, lunch pierogi for 8 zlotys, both enough to fill you up for the day. Feeds a lot of people through college and beyond and gives jobs to local community instead of giveaways that solve nothing.

They might not solve anything in the long run, but don't kid yourself thinking they are not useful. So many people in whole world are relying on them right now. Best thing we can do right now is try to stay human.

"We are happy to report that the Rosetta molecular modeling suite was recently used to accurately predict the atomic-scale structure of an important coronavirus protein weeks before it could be measured in the lab. Knowledge gained from studying this viral protein is now being used to guide the design of novel vaccines and antiviral drugs."

Since the release of SARS-CoV-2 genome sequences in late January, a number of important corona virus proteins like the one described above have been modeled on R@h volunteer computers. A list of these proteins is provided by the Seattle Structural Genomics Center for Infectious Disease (SSGCID).
