I think you will see Newcastle pushing for Europe next season after all with their oil money and a half decent manager in Dean Smith they should do better than this season as much as it galls to see Middle Eastern owners taking over at least they will put their money into the club.
I think we should all relish what we have for the next few years (Well, maybe not in Utd's case but yanno' ..... ), as the game as we know it is fast coming to an end with UEFA's backdoor European Super League/ the bollocks 24 team summer club world cup/ South American teams in the UEFA Nations League to combat the biannual World Cup from 2024 et al.
We'll soon be entering an era where 2 or 3 State owned clubs dominate everything as you'll need 40/ 50 man squads to cope with all the games and they'll hoover up all the talent.
But that's a conversation for down the line as that might well be the time I sack it all off. So I don't want to contemplate that when things are this good and L'pool are this dominant at the current time.
