Should be a good day for us today. Mbiwa having a medical, and has been confirmed by his club to be moving to us. Sissoko has apparently signed a pre contract with us too, so we will either get him this Jan or in the summer, I imagine the summer. Had a bid accepted for Gouffran too, but can't say I am overly excited about that, and finally, we picked up a young french left back today as back up/competition for Santon.

It's looking good.

Waiting for confirmation of Newcastle's failed bid of the entire French national squad.

I suppose as an Arsenal fan you enjoy waiting, considering your wait for a bit of silverware.

And when was Newcastle's last bit of top flight silverware? I was merely joking but I figured someone might get upset at that little dig. :p

Merely footie banter-hardly upsets people lol.

Also being reported that Darren Bent is widely tipped to go to St James Park aswell

He doesn't qualify for our French quota, but I hear his boyfriend is French, so he may get in on a technicality.

Did you not know, if you make a joke in response to another joke, you are obviously upset?! :P

Lol. That case I would've been in tears of rage and hurt and full of anger on this forum every day since joining lol

Regarding Gouffran, I think it's a bit of a gamble but it could potentially be a cracking signing. While not a "big name", he's versatile (he can play as a lone striker, paired with another striker or on either wing), pretty quick and is good with both feet, and he's 26, so theoretically his best years are still ahead of him. After a promising start to his career his form dipped when he moved to Bordeaux (9 goals in his first three seasons combined...) but he picked up his form of late with 14 goals last season and 8 goals so far this season - not bad considering your previous transfer target, Loïc Rémy, scored 13 in the same 18-month period.

And on top of that all, rumour has it the fee accepted is merely 2m because his contract is up this summer. It could be a real coup if successfull, and not much of a loss if it's not.

******* mint signings like
Really excited by M'Biwa, hoping he's not just a replacement for Colo. Would love Sissoko here, great signing if it comes off. Happy with Gouffran, got a better record this season than the ******* Remy!

San Lorenzo official website - "After lengthy negotiations, we confirm that Fabricio Coloccini will not join the squad.

Cha-ching. Mint defense! :D

WOW! What a few days!
Happy with Signings! Hope Goofy can recapture his early promise like Ben Arfa has done :)
Now just for Colo to stay...well at least till end of season

Sissoookokokokokokokokohohohho expected to join tomorrow in a 2.5m deal also.

hope we get sissoko in asap, and pardew this time around stops playing his pathetic hoofball, gouffran i think is an improvement on the wing he has pace and is good on the ball, face it who would we prefer on the wing lazy *** sammy or gouffran

wolfswinkle aswell should also come through i hope we need a striker of his caliber
