Cashley hats of to you mate for taking transfers into your own hands instead of lambass

So it see you've also signed Haidara and Sissoko... I figure you'll be playing "la Marseillaise" prior to every game from now on. :P

I am happy with the signings made in the last few days but I still think we need another striker to give ourselves so more squad depth. There is still time for Pardew to pull off a few more signings before the transfer window closes.

******* buzzing over the Sissoko signing, beast of a player

Also I had doubts creeping in with regards of relegation before these signings in the last few days. Providing these players settle in quickly, which I have no doubt they will, then we shouldn't need to worry about relegation at all.

I cannot believe we have pulled 5 really good signings out the bag for just under 16m - terrific business by Ashley it has to be said.

Ashley may be a **** but he's certainly a good businessman.

Even taking into account your usual hyperbole, that's a little over the top, don't you think? ;)

Innocent until proven guilty, even if he is a ****.

Fair point-I can jump the gun at times. Though from what I hear from friends my mine and the vast majority are very loyal NUFC fans he really is messed up, acting all gangsta and exhibiting very disturbing behaviour and is normally in trouble all the time. Though admittedly their words not mine. But by their words-**** is an understatement

Though that picture definately won't help a jot

Eh, I don't give a **** if anyone's 'acting gangsta', they do what they like. If they want to look retarded it is no skin off my nose. Likewise being in trouble all the time isn't REALLY a problem unless it escalates to the level where it could potentially effect anything to do with his game. Like, for instance, this case of alleged rape.

We'll see how it pans out. In a purely footballing sense it won't be a massive loss for Newcastle either way though.

Think to be honest it's just at a point now where I'm just sick and tired with all the bad press in football these days, what with Hazard doing what he's done, Suarez and Evra thing, our own fans racially abusing our own players and QPR players...call me an old fart but I'm just pretty much tired of all the negative sh*t that's going on. Like I said maybe it's me being a grumpy young man...don't know. Just sad though as I've got a soft spot for Newcastle what with living here since 93 and during the 80s aswell. Fans of clubs deserve better than having all this negative stuff being reported because of their players acting like total douchebags

Footballers are people too. If fans get so het up about all of this, then frankly they need to get over it. It's a nature of the press that all the professional footballers who aren't arseholes - Paul Scholes, et cetera - won't get the media coverage, whereas the ones that do newsworth stuff will.

The press follow the stuff that makes money. Football is big money nowadays, and bigger than ever in terms of coverage. As such, the press just naturally follow football for stories more than they used to. That's just how it is and how it will be.

I am young. Though I don't feel it anymore following a kickabout-can't eve do a corner without feeling a twinge anymore :'(

The other points-fair points. Agree with them-which is why I do enjoy posting stories that the modern day national press wouldn't normally report. Which is why I get annoyed when people keep saying footballers don't care about anyone but themselves-which is garbage as all real football fans know footballers do things for kids and charities etc.

Is there not a risk that buying so many players at this point of the season may backfire? Or am I playing FM too much? lol.

I agree with you that it could have an adverse effect. This transfer window will either make or break our season.

It's the exact reason Pardew failed so spectacularly in the championship. Things started going wrong and he didn't know how to fix it, so he brought in a bunch of players, half of whom didn't give a **** and things went from bad to worse.
