Poor poor performance from Scunthorpe today against Preston but we still got a point out of it so decent result. Another late Barcham goal in the 88th minute to make it 1-1 after Hume scored a rocket of an opener.
 
2 Games into the new season and already that sinking feeling, of poor refeering, so many errors from different players, and the clunk of seats with 5 minutes left when we concede a 4th goal at home. Welcome back football! When Atkinson scored a simply wonderful goal, with the 3 minutes with followed, we looked like a team in complete control. But Rotherham's attack was unstoppable for our defence who went missing at points. 44 games left, 44 games too turn this great football into chances and goals.

Also, Bristol Rovers?! Really?! That Torquay Fan on Facebook won't shut up about it now....
 
Brilliant performance AWAY from Roots Hall from Southend United. Hadn't won away from home in nine before todays victory over last years play off contenders Accrington Stanley. Glad to see Liam Dickinson open he's goal scoring account with the Blues nice and early and Ryan Hall continues he's fine form from last season to score the winner. 2 out of 2 for Paul Sturrock's men so far in the league.

So thats who we could of had... Glad he's ehm.. scoring the goals.
 
I don't think there's any doubts the kid knows where the goal is. He just really needs to sort out his attitude. He strikes me as one of those "I think I'm better than what I actually am" type of players lol I think he is decent back up though when Southend can get/keep Barry Corr and Niel Harris fully fit.

Actually wish we persuaded to stay longer than a week, because we are missing a player like Dickinson. I hate too say it, but I hope Reidy gets on the phone too Rory Fallon this evening. Or even give Tresor Kandol a second chance, because anything will do up there....

Hasn't Rory Fallon signed for Yeovil? Tresor Kandol would be a good signing in League Two I reckon.

Only a month contract, I hope he does badly/fall's out with the manager/doesn't like Yeovil/listens too God and comes back here. Fallon can be very frustrating, but having one tall man up there, getting one header every 20 attempts is better than nobody up there, having no Plan B and watching it fall apart.

Oh right didn't realize that lol and there's me thinking I know a lot about lower league football haha! Yeah have to agree, having a power figure upfront in League Two is very handy. A lot of physical defenders in this league who'll bully attackers given the chance!

Sheffield double today United win MASSIVES lose.

I know were only 2 games in but League 1 is a piece of ****.

Also FC Basel have confirmed TALKS with Middlesbrough over selling Alexander Frei (Awesome), they want 3m euros and Boro are hoping to fund the deal through one more sale this summer. (Again...Awesome)

Frei+Emnes up front would be godly.

I know, I even played Switzerland in old PES versions just because of Frei, but it's too much money for someone who has a year, maybe two to give.
 
We can get 3 out of him, never had blistering pace and would tear the Championship apart.

Just need an experienced head to rejuvenate the club and once we are back in the Prem then the 20-25 mill budgets will come back to us.
 
He may be good enough for 3 years in the Chapionship (Key word - MAY), but he is no longer prem worthy. Wouldn't be a good piece of business IMO. Anyways it's all speculation so far.
 
Our strikeforce is Emnes and Scott Mcdonald...We really could use a star name Athe.

Every fan I have seen is pumped up about him, just hope he isn't another Estigarribia who we came close to signing in June and it fell through.

Fair Haroun/Engelaar/Frei and MFC fans will be over the moon with that business.
